This is Ruby. This is the look Ruby gives me every night at midnight because she wants to go outside. Ruby wins every time with this look and she knows it.

There's too much fur in this thread. Time to break up the monotony:

Here's my male Ambilobe Panther Chameleon, Alec Baldwin:

One of my tree frogs, Porkchop:

Need to get more picks of my hairless critters. Damn, I need a new camera.

Weird and/or disgusting things that my beagle, Rocky, has eaten or chewed on, or attempted to eat or chew on:
  • Crayons
  • Chapstick
  • Gum out of my wife's purse
  • Gum off the ground
  • Used tissues
  • Female hygiene products from the trashcan
  • A mole cricket
  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • The sleeve of my favorite sweatshirt
  • Acorns
  • Cat food
  • Cat puke
  • Cat shit

The gross story behind the cat puke:
One night I'm woken up to the sounds of my cat vomiting. Before I can jump up and turn on the light, I hear the sounds of my dog eating. Ew.

Yeah, my grandparents had a dog that ate so much scat, you'd think he was japanese. ZING!

The fucking retarded thing was he finally stopped after they sprayed the crap with Bitter Spray before he could eat it (the stuff you spray on furniture and things so dogs won't chew on it) So he would chow down on his shit, but the bitter spray was far too disgusting for him to handle. Ridiculous.

Yeah he does. These are White's tree frogs, also known as Dumpy Tree Frogs due to their goofy grin and their chubbiness. Like this fat ass:

Thanks! I used to have rats. They're great, but be careful who you get them from, most rats are bred as feeders for snakes and such so there's a lot of inbreeding and many of them don't live that long.

Madagascar roaches are awesome! I breed my own. This guy LOVES them, they're like his crack:

This is Hampton, aka Hammy,my bearded dragon (He's 7 this year):

Alright, I'll make this as short and sweet as possible: my sister was pretty young when we got the cat, so whenever she saw it, she just called it "bubby" (purposely, she could have called it baby if she wanted to, she just felt it was more of a bubby.). Now, there was no way that a cat so prestigious could be called bubby. It just wasn't right. The damn thing was near royalty. So how do you make bubby dignified? Well, by realizing that bubby is in fact just the short form of the far more classy "Bubbeford".

But that wasn't good enough. He needed a middle name - no, screw that, a classy middle initial. What is classier than Bubbeford L.? Nothing. That's what. And then came the last part. We realized we were never topping Bubbeford, so we got lazy and just repeated it. And now everyone calls him that. In full. Every time.

I mean, if he is going to sit around staring at us and the television like we're lower than him, than he needs a big time name.

In retrospect (as in having looked back upon the story for first time), that might be the stupidest name and story behind-the-name of all time. Sheesh.

(Also, my other two cats are named Merlin (after a line from the shitty Sam Neill Merlin movie. I know) and Diablo Negro (No, I'm not a Klan member, the cat is a) pitch black in color and b) an asshole, and I was taking Spanish at the time I got him; I just suck at naming cats.)
OK, so I'm already gay for cats - with my cat Melv who I worship like a fucking Egyptian (hence my previous post in this thread... http://chud.com/forum/showpost.php?p...&postcount=474) - About 2 weeks ago somebody knocks on our door with a box in their hands - "I found this kitten in the trash behind our houses - do you want it or should I call animal welfare?" A little, underweight, full of fleas mogwai. Now how the hell do you say no to this?

After much consultation we have named this little furry bastard Houdini. Apologies for the hideous Ricky-Gervais-style picture of me looming behind the kitty cuteness!

That's a great pic, mint.

COMING SOON: pics of our newest household member, Oskar (with a K). Someone moved out nearby and left this little delightful nugget behind (I hope they croak) and I rescued him from a thunderstorm (just opened my door, really). Their loss is my fucking gain. He's a keeper.

Here's a few pics of our new little buddy Moe:

And our hedgehog, Gin:

Ummmm how do Gin and Moe get along exactly?
Hilariously!

Gin sleeps most of the time anyway and when we take him out to get some exercise it's always supervised but honestly with that spiky body armour he doesn't need it. Moe tried to bat at him exactly once and freaked out, he hasn't tried it again! Mostly he just follows Gin around at a safe distance and tries to figure out how to get at him but it's pretty impossible because Gin hides under his quills as soon as Moe gets too close and Moe isn't stupid enough to stab his own paw again.

When I clean Gin's cage I put his little house on the floor and Moe has decided that's his version of TV, he'll just lie down outside the box absolutely fascinated and jump every time there's a rustling noise.

Also, they both eat cat food, enjoy pushing cat toys around, and love catnip. Seeing a hedgehog high on catnip is weird, they have this foamy saliva they lick themselves with when they get excited. Very odd creatures.

Add a few more packs of gum from my wife's purse on different occasions, lip gloss from my daughter's pants pocket (she wasn't wearing them at the time), a few more crayons (colored poo!), and this morning, my daughter's Hello Kitty lunch box was shredded.

McNooj, that pup is adorable.

She looks like a tiger!

I got a male cat last year and despite being a serial killer*, he's an incredibly friendly cat that likes being around people and cheerfully sleeps on top of me every night. I've never met a very sociable or friendly female cat. He even loves to play with a string with a piece of tin-foil on one end and ribbon tied to the other. He's an acrobat while chasing it.

*He does terrible things to mice. He stages the bodies in the living room and the remains are very ghoulish. Ted Bundy acted like a nice guy too.

Rescued a kitten last fall for my little girl.  Ugliest thing I've ever seen.  The kitten, not the girl.

Tricia 1.JPG

Her mother had died two weeks after giving birth to the litter.  The kittens had been found and nursed by someone.  The other kittens had chewed the fur off of Tricia's tail.  And by teh time we found out about it, all but two of the kittens in the litter had died.  We adopted Tricia and brought her home.

Tricia 2.JPG

Seriously, she was ugly.  But sweet.

The day after we brought her home she nearly died.  Spent several days with the vet getting over pneumonia from aspirating milk into her lungs.  Then, when we got her back from the vet she started going into seizures.  Over the course of a weekend she ended up with getting seizures every ten to fifteen minutes. The vet decided to send his kids to college on my dime, and prescribed some meds.

All of that was in early November of 2010.  Here's Tricia today:

Tricia 3.JPG

She's sleek and sweet and in that stage where "blood=love".  She also has a thing for knocking shit over.  Oh, look...a glass of liquid.  *crash*  Stupid cat.

Stupid beautiful cat.

Here's a couple I took of my roommate's dog. I (obviously) manipulated the background of the first one, but the second is a pretty decent shot...

Not the best picture by far, but I consider it payback for all of the sneak attacks and clawing the shit out of my hands.

This dog loves babies, and I mean LOVES them. She'll sniff all around them, lick their face and just generally wants to be around them. Once they become toddlers though it's like they don't exist. Strange animal.

My cat Loki, behind that handsome face is a vicious and sadistic killer. His interests are getting high on catnip, training for killing by playing with string with me and sleeping on my bed at night with me.

2011-07-23110559.jpg?t=1312428927

No catnip that day. Pretty sure he was sizing up the photographer.

He also likes to attack legs. One by one he pounced on my mother, my father, and our houseguest Harvey as soon as they came out of their bedrooms this morning. He really is a friendly cat though, it's just that his sense of humor and play runs to the dark side.

He really is a handsome fella, but he knows it and expects adoration. If I'm petting him and stop suddenly, he puts a paw(No claws) on my neck as a WARNING.
