Marry Our Daughter

So, I'm going about my business today and I get an IM about some weird Fundie Christian website. I'm always willing to take a gander at the creepy Fundie stuff online for laughs.

But, I wasn't expecting this.

http://marryourdaughter.org/index.php

Certain families who want to make sure that their daughters aren't old maids by the age of 18 are setting them up to be sold to like-minded men.

How is this legal?

That is the creepiest website I've seen since www.newsaxon.com. I don't think you can view any of the profiles anymore, but it is basically myspace for neo-nazis where they show off their guns and hatred.

That's ridiculous! I can fuck fourteen year olds for like fifty dollars!

Gotta be a joke. Look at the testimonials:

Quote:
"Thank God for your site! Our daughter was really nervous walking down the aisle, but she seems okay now and the money we got let us keep our farm and even add on a few acres."

—Mrs. Addrien L.

"At first we were worried that Janine was too young to get married, but then her new husband bought her a house and a car and jewelry and the money we got let us buy a house for ourselves. Getting out of the trailer park at our age was the best thing that ever happened to us, and it’s all thanks to Marry Our Daughter!"

—Mr. Jack M.

“I was SO scared getting married so young, but my husband is an okay guy and I am SO proud that because of me my parents were able to get their first brand-new car and take the trip they always wanted to. I couldn’t have done it without your site!"

—Katrina K., married at 14

“Our 15 year old daughter Mary wasn’t very popular and did nothing but mope around the house bringing everybody down, so we decided to marry her off through your site. Now our house is a lot cheerier and we love our new swimming pool and Jaccuzi! We’ve told our youngest that when she turns 15 we’re going to marry her off too!"

—Mrs. James P.

“My mother thought I was getting ‘too frisky” and that I had to get married right away before I lost my purity to some high school boy. Marry Our Daughter found me a husband and my parents were able to keep their house and pay off my mother’s medical bills. I was so glad I could help them, and being married at my age (I'm 16 now) has a lot of advantages, like my own credit card!"

—Nancy A.

That was my thought as well. Honestly...those testimonials just creeped me out totally.

"Hey, Fred...let's put the girl up for marryin so you can get you a new truck and I can get that boob job we always wanted."

"Sure thing, sugar tits! She's doin nothing around here but growin up, anyway."

While there are times when I'd gladly take twenty bucks for both of my oldest girls, those moments pass quickly enough. This stuff is long-term.

I'll give you $50 for the pair.

According to this article, it is indeed a joke.
Cool....glad to hear that.

I don't often get riled up, but something like that'd do it.

What are they shooting for? Seeing who clicks on the "propose" buttons and sending the info to the Pedo-pushers?
Joke?
I see NO joke...

Well, that's good.

I can alway rely on the Chewers to collectively debunk creepy pedo sites.

I'm half expecting Chris Hansen to show up if I lick the Propose button.

"Hey, I heard you have a proposition for me. I've got one for you. Just take a seat over there. So what are you doing here? *quizzical eye*"

Random poll that came up when I clicked:

Are you willing to give your life for your race?

Yes, I'm ready anytime
Yes, but only in the event of the race war
No, Never
Not sure

Only in the event of the race war? Awesome.

Quotey goodness from the marriage site:

Quote:
Courtney’s grandmother married at 13, her mother married at 13, and Courtney has decided she wants to keep the tradition going. She would prefer to stay close to her large extended southern family and loves farm or at least rural life. She got an A in Home Ec. and has read up on what else would be expected of her as a wife and is looking forward to it.

They missed a perfect opportunity to dust off the old "boning up" joke. Too bad.
The site is a joke but it's probably also a brilliant Phishing scheme. How many outraged soccer moms who wrote the webmaster are getting unspeakable emails even as we speak?

That goddamn article doesn't say anything about how to get your deposit back!
This ... this has to be a joke, right?
Joke or not, the prettiest girl on that first page, who is also the closest to being of legal age, (must be passing her prime) is the cheapest one. not even $20,000?
