Police brutality, while disturbingly common-place, often has at least some semblance of rational plausibility behind it -- this is just insane. Yeah, the guy's friend (not him) was drunk and speeding, and he was cussing ... but still.

I've never seen anything like this caught on videotape. If you're watching this without the sound, you're not getting a full picture. The seated individual complies with the officer's orders to stand, makes no move towards the officer, and is repeatedly shot.

The charges were dropped but the cop has been kicked off the force. That cop has just made life a whole lot more difficult for other cops. I hope Carrion sues the ass off that dept.

sickening. I think a lot of this has to do with the militarization of the police, that and the fact that they always get off scott free. Cops like this and ones like the cop in st. george last week, the ones who shot Sean Bell, Amadou Diallo should be punking their way through prison.

I don't get it. He orders the guy to get up in a normal "I want the subject to get off the ground" tone you always hear in cop shows... except the guy starts getting up in the most normal humanly possible way and gets shot like five times.

How amusing is it that they bleeped out the curses but have no problem showing a guy get shot 3 times?
