I'm going to assume shill, but it's still a fun question. So, my favorite was:
Jens Lekman - Friday Night at the Drive-In Bingo.

I've spent the past ten minutes trying to pick, but I can't, so I'm just going to say the whole of The Stage Names by Okkervil River. Oh, and Challengers by The New Pornographers.

We're supposed to be saying something like "The new JT single - that shit is sick, yo! LOLZ!," aren't we?

"Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden!!!

(I'd like to see Shilly up there argue with that one.)

Tegan and Sara- Back in your head

or if we are talking about the hippity and the hoppity Pop stuff.. I'll admit to liking that Finger 11 disco song where they imitate the band Disturbed and sing "Move through me on my way to you!"

"The Bitch Was Me" by Harry Potter's Daughter.

Wait, what summer did that 'Ridin Dirtay' song come out.. cuz that song was phat and dope, really off the hizzay.. yet also ghetto fab, if I may be so bold.

I'm pretty sure a research study at Harvard found that the song cured cancer.. it was in the news. You must have missed that report.

..

In the NEWS.

"Dark Side of Town", Eliza Gilkyson (from her album Your Town Tonight).

Listened to this album most, and it's hard to pick just one song from it, but there it is, my choice, for the moment.
