Need 3 Music Reviewers for CHUD

Thread Starter
We get a few, not a lot but a few audio CD's sent in every month for review. I want to have someone to send them to. Additionally, I think it might be nice to have a bi-weekly music review column similar in format to Thir's Comic Column.

PM me if you're up to the task.

I know it's a long shot but I REALLY hope DaveB PM's you.

Seconded.

I'll fucking do it. And I'll even do it on time too!
PM Sent, I'd love to be a part of this, even started a thread about it (quite a while ago).

PM sent. Great idea Nick. Many good recommendations have come from these very forums.

I say give DaveB all 3 slots and have done with it.

PM sent. Can I use you guys as references?
This might be close to the greatest thing ever.
DaveB and misfit should take two of the spots for sure.
Before I even opened up this thread I was thinking DaveB.

Like he has a choice in the matter. He's doing this, whether he likes it or not.
DaveB is going to be scary good at this. give him more than a couple discs, a small salary, and CHUD instantly becomes one of the best music sites around.
While I still would really love to be a part of this, I'm a little intimidated now that DaveB is involved.
I immediately thought DaveB as well. Now I'm anxious to read his reviews.

And Chris Miller, don't be intimidated, just do it!

This isn't a competition. If your heart's really into this, you'll do just fine. While I respect and admire DaveB's opinions, knowledge, and writing caliber, I still want to read a variety of input and insight from other Chewers. We all have different tastes, and certain Chewers will have a stronger background in specific genres than others.

If Nick would've posted this a year ago, I may have wanted to jump on board. But I don't honestly believe I can put in the time and effort that this great site deserves during this point in my life.

So good luck to you.

Oh, my hearts in, and I'd still love to do it, I just feel like R.L. Stine asking to be on the same team as Ernest Hemingway.

DaveB really needs to do this.. His musical expertise needs to be unleashed to the world rather than confined to the message boards.

Thanks a lot, everyone. Dave spent the weekend alternating between laughing maniacally, tapping his fingertips together, and building an underground lair in our storage space.

Curious, though - I have no idea where he got that white angora cat he was carrying around.

When he starts going bald, then you can worry.

Dammit.

What about a weather machine? Should I worry about the weather machine in the kitchen?

Are you sure that's not the refrigerator? I've made that mistake before.

Well, it does make ice-cubes, but I don't think normal refrigerators produce sleet. And hurricane-force winds.

Some of your better ones do.

Thanks for the votes of confidence, gravedigger and Joe. I may talk to Nick about doing the occasional review, but for the most part, I'm looking forward reading DaveB's reviews.

And serving under his glorious reign once he enslaves us all with his weather device.

Good answer. You just saved your neighborhood from two feet of lemon-sized hail.

Maybe it's time that I invested in covered parking.

Don't you mean tennis ball-sized hail?
You know, that's right. Hail = sports equipment; tumors = fruit. Thus -

"tumor the size of a grapefruit" NOT "tumor the size of a softball."

and

"hail the size of tennis balls" NOT "hail the size of lemons."

Unless, of course, the hail is made from tumors, then it's a whole other ball of wax (colloquialisms = wax shapes??).

Wow, that was some strong tea I had this morning. Woo!
