It was decent but not great. Best moment for me was Sock throwing the baseball.

I wish they would have gone more epic. But i guess a show like this doesn't have a big budget.

Also, more Ray Wise. Seemed short amount of time for the finale.

Obviously, Sam's parents are still hiding a secret or two. When they were arguing inside that chalk circle, was that to elude Satan... or Sam?

Succubus: Way to piss away a potentially long-running storyline, guys.

I didn't see the entire episode (and about a third of the season) but it seemed kind of odd that Sam wasn't too sad about his fathers passing.

I do like how Sam is going to be hunted by demons now. I'm not totally sure what's going on anymore but I'll check out S2.

He probably knew (swipe) how the episode was going to end.

Season 2 hasn't been really good so far. But next episode is supposed to be great.

The girl demon has promise. I've been fast-forwarding through the Sock subplots.

Still feel this would be better as a half-hour show.

I was afraid that the demon was wearing a Ben suit for a couple minutes.

So you're forwarding through the many shots of sexy asian chick in skimpy clothing?

Fucking this. I'm not crazy about Reaper, save for Wise, but she singlehandedly earned it at last half a season.

She's incredibly annoying. Hot, yeah. But i can't stand her or sock.

Do remote controls in Argentina not have the "mute" feature?

That's a trait she shares with everyone else on this show, again except for Wise, so it doesn't bother me as much as it should.

I admit it was a tough call. But she shares all her scenes with Sock and he's just totally unappealing this year.

*insert "Stuff a sock in her mouth" joke here*

The boxer episode was pretty good. I laughed plenty with the Devil at AA and Less Nessman.

Finally, a bit of moral ambiguity: "You did something good."

Continuing to love the demon chick.

Kudos to the in-joke, but the Les Nessman subplot largely avoided the repercussions of Sock committing massive fraud.

3-24 ep:

Man, last night's episode was terrific.
Funny as hell and it's actually advancing some kind of long term arc.

The characters have real chemistry between them, and it works. I loved Tony coming back.

"I already named her Magnum P.I." kinda killed me.

Solid episode. And the Sheriff was awesome. Love that dude.

Very good Special Effects today. And The Devil referencing a David Lynch film was awesome.

Seems like they just remembered that Sam had some powers in this one, right?

Yeah, they did that on the pilot and never again. His telekinesis was kinda cool.

I really didn't think they'd follow through on the Sock/Kristen thing. Still, fun as hell episode. I really hope we get to see more Zombie Dad somewhere down the line.

Lots of fast-forwarding on the relationship front this week. Feels like a bit of a re-vamp coming up.

Tentacle Puppet People very amusingly done.

Hurm, it's getting canceled. So fuck it.

Another solid episode. The cast's chemistry is getting to a great point. It really drives the show. And the advances in the mythology (albeit short ones) are very interesting.

Some great Nina moments. "I decorated with human furniture!"

Also, that was an exceptional FX shot of her landing with the Frisbee, involving a seamless transition from CGI to live-action.

Something occurred to me while watching the DVRed episode from last week: has anyone besides Sam ever been shown as interacting with the Devil? Just curious as I don't remember any.

Only Morgan. But why would that be surprising? He doesn't just reveal himself to the rest of the guys. It would be beneath him.

He also interacts with the demons.

Thanks. Yeah, you're right. I'm not the most dilligent viewer and I was toying with this idea that the Devil was all in Sam's head. Not seriously, but all the same.

Man, I wonder what cellphone carrier Ted has. I get nothing out of my phone in many areas of Los Angeles, yet Sam's dad can send a text from hell. Is it Sprint?

Theres no way it in his head, with all the devil related magic or voodoo theyve ALL seen, least of which was sams dead dad disappearing in front of them a week ago, or almost any and all contact with whats-her-face from the dmv, or the new demon-girlfriend.

I think this season has been pretty sub-par, and for no explicable reason... e.g. asian step-sister-loving subplot ... who the hell thought that was a good idea? And how the hell did they justify spending half a season on it? yikes.

But that being said, I still have a soft spot for the show, and I like the recent developments with sams dad going to hell, and now his brother, and the tease of his inevitable return.

--- I have always thought this, and Im sure its fairly obvious and has been mentioned before, but I just thought I should say my overall theory for the secrets of the show:

Like that old 70's movie, whose name I forget, god and the devil made some sort of bet about the fate of any random persons soul, and sam is the test dummy, so to speak... That or Sam isnt the devil's son, but god's, and like Apocalypse and Orion from Xmen, they switched children for the purposes of some similar -will-he-be-evil bet theyve made....

Thats my theory/theories, but I doubt we'll ever really know, as the show is oh-so-canceled.

I'm still watching. For now.

I believe the movie I was thinking of was "Oh god, you devil," with george burns (big surprise!), and it bares only superficial similarities to what I described, according to its summary ... i cant remember the film too well, and I think thats what Im thinking of, but there was also another movie from around that time with a bunch of people that watched down from heaven and had a simlar bet or something ... it escapes me

Hardly any Devil in that last episode. Boo! And as hot as Nina is I've grown a bit tired of the Ben gets mad/jealous/insecure at/of/about Nina thing that's been happening every week.

It's like the show can't sustain it's on mythology and long story arc and just brings in different female characters to create unfunny shenanigans with the leads.

Stop that shit and bring back The Cult of Steve, The black dude, Sam's Dad and everyone trying to take down the Devil°

Ben and Sock were super duper gay, but there was this great gem:

"I am going to perform what is commonly known in the medical community as a face-off." And he did the face-off hand gesture.

Rather disappointing end to the series. Sam and Andy's souls damned for all eternity.

Humorous side-note: I saw the actor who played Sam at the Arclight walking out of Drag Me to Hell the other night.

Yeah, they were planning to keep going obviously.

It was all for the best. Apparently.
