The artist for this tough cover ( http://www.mobygames.com/game/covers...32/gameId,6239 ) is Mick McGinty, creator of the US covers of the Street Fighter II series and more, who did make an interview, which you can find here:

Your devotion to this cover over the years is outstanding.

Is this the guy who did the cover for Street Fighter II? The US one?

There are so many things with that picture. And the manic barreling green-haired ginger is perhaps the least of them.

"Tough" is not the adjective one would expect in this situation.

Darrel thought Ponyboy's blond hair was tough. He said so in the hospital. That, too, always seemed odd.

I just feel the need to point out the incredibly bizarre post history of this user. Two threads about this damn cover, which is kind of retarded. A thread about the Attack of the Killer Tomatoes CARTOON. And one creepy thread about some pixelated chick in boots that grape somehow finds spank-worthy. Plus another thread about some fantasy chick I can't even begin to understand.

Um... ban?

I'm rarely amazed at uncovering previously unknown, highly-specialized corners of fandom...but wow.

He has also posted very similar posts about the SFII at on DVDTalk, if I remember right.

That interview sounds like the work of the Duke:

You probably heard this a lot but you are a great artist and, almost everybody of my generation knows your art. I saw the SFII (Street Fighter II) art on video game packages, T-shirts, magazines, cars, even on a German rollercoaster. I remember when I was about 10 and after school, kids from my school and me would sit together and try to draw Street Fighter art. Everyone had some copy of yours.
Would you have thought that it would go all around the world like that?

Yeah, I gotta agree with this one. Nothing about this dudes posts, nor his use of the english language, seem to make any kind of any sense.
