So, I'm like two years late to the Dead Space party...but I figured that I needed to finally play this. It just came in the mail from Gamefly. I finally grew some balls. And holy hell this game is atmospheric and scary as ever. I'm loving it though.

I loved it until I got a "bad save" and ended up in a spot with no ammo and lots of death. Couldn't escape.

It was enough for me to throw my arms up and to move on to another game and not return. I might be able to load from the beginning of the stage, I'm not sure. If not, I'm not sure I want to even pick it up again.

I just finished the asteroid gunner mission...it wasnt that hard on medium (or whatever the middle difficulty is called). I died once and got it on the second try.

Man...the sound design on this game is incredible! Every time I hear a scary sound in this game...I stop until it goes away...thankful that sometimes nothing has jumped out to get me. Someone earlier in the thread said that horror movies dont do much to scare them, but when it comes to Dead Space...scary as hell. I totally agree, and I think the reason is that you're involved in this game...not just watching it happen on the screen like you do in a movie.
