In preparation of the impending IN RAINBOWS, what do you think is the pinnacle of Radiohead's rich discography thus far?

Since OK Computer is an obvious (for me) number one, let me rank 'em all.

1. OK Computer
2. Hail to the Thief
3. Kid A
4. The Bends
5. Amnesiac
6. I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings
7. Pablo Honey

The poll just appeared, Patrick.

I know I'm in the minority here, but HAIL TO THE THIEF is my fave. It sums up every mood and style I love about this band to perfection.

Kid A is actually my favorite, with OK Computer nipping at it's heels.

Too many goddamn Radiohead threads.

Although OK Computer is perhaps a more mature piece of art, The Bends is the album that rocks me from start to finish. Plus I have happy memories of being near the front of the queue when it first went on sale at HMV in Oxford (their home town), a day earlier than the rest of the country.

I agree, there are three Radiohead threads on the main page. Let's trim it back a bit, shall we?

My favorite band of all time. But even though my favorite album is "OK Computer", my favorite track is "A Punchup At a Wedding".

I've always been a fan of Hail to the Thief, I love OK Computer but there's just something about Thief which makes it massively replayable. I think it's because you can hear a real friction in the album, it's like the bands artistic wants conflicting with their commercial aspects.

As such the album kinda lurches wildly from their most accesible songs to the kind of white noise concept songs which are a little too weird even for their obscurer releases like Kid A.

Also, There There (The Boney King Of Nowhere) is one of my all time favourite songs.

Kid A is one of my favorite albums of all time to work to. At this point I probably have a Pavlovian increase in productivity just by listening to it.

Also, the artwork is amazing. (And "There, There" is just tremendous live! My fave song off HTTT is "Where I End and You Begin", if pressed. Please don't press me, though.)

(sorry about the mess. also, that angle to cut the lens flare kinda makes it look smaller than the 3'x3' it is. also, also, i hate that they won't let me paint the walls in my apartment.)

But, I'm going to have to go with OKC on this one, just because the whole thing is so freakin' unified. It's an album that I have a very hard time sniping a song or two off... everything in its right place and it flows just perfectly. If one of the songs comes up randomly on my iPod, I usually end up just flipping to the entire album.
