I really don't get it. If the studios want to take a risk with a foreign director(s), you would think that they would know that the final product would be slightly different than your average American fare. If they wanted the same old shit, why not just hire the Dracula guy to begin with? I'm sure he would've been cheap enough, and they wouldn't have to bother with the added cost of reshoots. This is the fourth time this has happened recently (the other 3 being The Grudge 2, The Messengers, and The Invasion) that I know of, and it never fails to boggle my mind.

I can't imagine Lussier making ANYTHING better. Lionsgate just wasted their own money and time and if there was any chance I was checking this film out, it just went bye-bye.

Oh, and I am a fan of the original. Highly derivative, but with quite a few great creepy moments.

And those all suck(well not fair, I haven't seen The Invasion yet but the other two were terrible)
