David Gilmour: Remember that night

I picked up this 2 disc DVD set, it's a really great performance, Gilmour plays 'On an Island' in it's entirety and mixes the setlist with classics and forgotten gems. I've really grown to love 'On an Island' it really feels like a cohesive vision. It's really great to see Gilmour busting out 'Echoes' as well, although that was a regular fixture on his 2006 tour. He also does a fantastic version of 'Shine on you crazy diamond' Gilmour kind of re-interprets it and the backing vocals of Crosby and Nash are excellent.

The second disc has more gems like 'Wot's...uh the deal' and 'Dark Globe' being performed among others. Gilmour's playing is just as ethereal and haunting as it ever was.

I'll have to pick it up.....I saw Roger Waters eariler this year and it was without question one of the(if not THE) greatest concerts i've ever been to.

I saw Waters play last year and I agree, it was a fantastic concert but it was harder edged than Gilmour's performance, there was a great laid back vibe to his concert.
