The 40 Worst Lyricists - Page 2

The thing that pisses me off about Maxim or Blender LISTS is that they always feel like one day the writing staff was sitting in the room and one of them said something funny about some bad lyrics and they came up with an idea to do the 40 worst but it took them 8 weeks to get the other 39 because they don't know shit about being funny or music.

And somewhere in the darkness the gambler, he broke even.
But in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
More beautiful poetry, the world's never known.

There must be some serious payola going on with Kid Rock and Rolling Stone. He gets the cover of the "Hot Issue" and an unbelievably (in the truest sense of the word) positive review? Say what you will about Rolling Stone's increasingly wonky standards, but they may have reached a new level of irrelevance with that issue.

I expect Mick Jagger (whose solo best of somehow swung four stars or something in the same issue) to get unwarranted high ratings due to Jann Wenner's perpetual hard-on for all things Stones, but Kid Rock was awful even in his prime, and now he's ten years past his sell-by date.
