Ahh.. another holiday classic to add to my collection

Too bad it doesn't include the sequel in this release, but.. let's be realistic.. the sequel was still 50% footage from the original anyhow.

Exactly. I've seen a couple of the sequels, but didn't realize they were up to 5. God damn.

The first is good fun, though.

Part 5 was the only one I've seen and I got a kick out of the silly evil puppet premise (very Full Moon-ish). Mickey Rooney IS Joe Petto! I watched it years back in a vhs evening double feature with EVIL ELVES (starring Grizzly Adams as a dpt. store Santa).

GARBAGE DAY!

That's why the sequel rules! Plus, the commentary that has the filmmakers ripping it apart and laughing their asses off.

Glad they're re-releasing the movie as I missed out on it the first time around, but I'd love to see the sequel for the commentary.

I bought that Double Feature a couple of years back and I love having both films there (I didn't realize that they made anything after the second), but I do love that new cover art. The original is one of the very first horror movies I ever watched and I agree that it's just great, campy fun. I love how he gives the little girl a box cutter.
