MAXIMUM RISK used. I thought there was a small chance it had aged well in the last decade. That was a pipe dream. Still crappy. Will probably end up trading it back in for credit, but will likely get nowhere near the $6 I paid for it. Live and learn.

10.99 from Amazon. Not a bad price.
Transformers this morning, Caligula last night.
The new 2-disc set of Suspiria.
Once Upon A Time in The West . It was a two disk set on sale for like 7.50 and if I refused a deal like that, I am pretty sure I would have forced myself to commit seppuku later.
The Thing and Silent Hill. I wanted to watch something for Halloween.
Edward Scissorhands. 3 quid. Happy with that. And Zodiac, which I missed in the cinema and is probably the best film I've seen all year.
I bought a 50 Horror Movie Classics set for 12.88, which comes out to about 26 cents a film. Not bad, not bad, especially since it includes Carnival of Souls, Metropolis, and Nosferatu.
Went to Best Buy at lunch and picked up Transformers, the new Criterion Collection copy of The Third Man, and blu-ray Black Hawk Down (on sale for $15!)

Blow, for real cheap. I was suprised by the amount of extras, and their quality too. Very enjoyable deleted scenes, great commentary. RIP Ted Demme.
I got the special edition boxed set of not wasting my money, and the directors cut of there is a cheap way to get low-res movies, it's called bit-torrent.

Bargain.

But... but... it has two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank! It HAS to be good!

I gave away my copy of Perfect Stranger this weekend. I bought it for my mom and only after she popped it in did we realize it came sans Spanish subtitles (for her, I don't need 'em). It loitered in my collection until I found an unfortunate girl friend who loved it, so I "donated" it to her.

I have a Boogeyman and a White Noise I'm aching to part with, if you're interested!

I hunted that bitch DOWN! Spec's didn't have it, Borders said it was coming in during the night shipment and I finally found it at Suncoast.

Keep telling yourself that BTSMGL. Keep telling yourself that.

I'll positive rep you to Kingdom Come if you CAN'T tell who the villain is after the first 20 minutes.

Wait, you'll positive rep me if I can't tell who the villain is?

I'm kinda confused by that, but okay!

Well, I probably won't catch it till Saturday, but I'll let you know!
Yes. If you CAN'T identify the villain within the first act then you need to be rewarded. Owning the film is punishment enough. Don't lie though. I can tell.

It's another case of buying-it-for-my-Mom-because-if-we're-at-the-store-already-then-why-wait-to-rent.

Also, she thought Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang sucked.

BTSMGL, how do you pronounce your name? Is it, like, Butt-Smuggle?

It's EXACTLY like Butt-Smuggle. Except not.

Actually, it's an odd nickname I started using back when I first started being a regular at the Savage Forums (message board for the "Savage Dragon" comic book). This was back when I was in 10th grade. I'm 23 and in my 6th year of college now. So, yeah, it's BEEN A WHILE, to say the least. I've used it pretty much EVERYWHERE since then, so, I just keep using it so everybody knows if they see a "BTSMGL" on the Internet, it's 98% likely it's me.

Also, in those 9 or so years? No one has made that Butt-Smuggle joke. I salute you, sir!

I admit, I kinda want to hear the commentary on the Pilot of Studio 60. I want to hear Aaron Sorkin barely contain his contempt for everyone who hated the show.
Saturday afternoon I saw The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. I get home, still a bit dazed and distracted by that incredible film, and see The Searchers 2-disc SE has finally shown up.

I go right to Disc 2, and there on the menu is the teaser trailer for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

Sackley, you know the drill: I've got to spread some reputation points around...
Yesterday I bought Planet Terror and Transformers 2 Disc

I also got Deja Vu and Apocalypto on the Blu-Ray B0G0 special at Best Buy. I think on Friday I might make the drive to Circuit City to check out their B0G0 special as well.

Should have went with Amazon, dude. Like 6-7 bucks cheaper than Best Buy or Circuit City, no tax, free shipping. Sure it will take me a bit longer for me to get mine, as Amazon are a bunch of bastards that let their free shipping orders take the slow route in processing, causing the paperwork to go the depths of hell before arriving at the warehouse, but the four Blu-Rays I got end up being less than 12 bucks a piece.
I can't find any kind of BOGO sell on Amazon ... I still have the receipt and have not opened either DVD, so I can return them to Best Buy, but where is this special at?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...46321&plpage=1

Amazon popped them up 50 cents since Sunday, when I made my purchase, but it's still 5.50 + tax less than Best Buy. I ordered the two Pirate moves, Apocalytpo, and Deja Vu. Total: $47

I covered you guys who couldn't rep sackley. And to stay on topic, the wife bought Transformers last night and watched it with the kids today with the surround sound BLARING. The kids loved it and actually watched it all the way through,(acting out the fights when they'd get to excited) not bad for young kids.

We didn't get any of the "special" deal discs that were out but I won't complain. I'm just now getting my wife to remember to look for widescreen when she buys.

When they do you just grab them by the neck, stick their nose in the DVD, and say "NO! That's a bad wife! BAD! You buy widescreen! Widescreen!"

I tried that and it just ended up making her pee on the carpet. For now I'll stick to the "hey honey, you do know we have a widescreen t.v?" right before she goes to the store. I have to do way less steam-cleaning around here that way.
Haven't bought anything in awhile, but I'm all about the O Lucky Man SE next week.

And the uber-set of Blade Runner in December is all mine.
