Couldn't they just give the toy to a different kid for a sequel?

Do they really need to retell the voodoo origin?

Like Halloween, I think the remake is just too soon after the last sequel. You need to let things lie dormant for a while before you re-launch them.

I'm sure we'll get all of Charles Lee Ray's reasons for becoming a robber with the knowledge of voodoo.

The series has become a comedy, I'm not sure if trying to bring back the creepiness of the original will work in any way.

When will this remake madness stop... Halloween, Texas Chainsaw, the under-development Friday the 13th remake... How about new original ideas!??!

The first one freaked me the fuck out when I was a kid if only because my little brother had a My Buddy Doll. But rewatching those movies now, the only saving grace is Brad Dourif. I enjoyed Bride of Chucky more than the first 3 and I don't really see why the need to remake this in the first place. There is nothing more than can add and if they try to explain the voodoo stuff it'll just be laughable. Oh well, at least I have my boxset.

You realize the bitch of all this, right? This remake is going to lead, directly or indirectly, to the following conversation:

Me: Man, that new Chucky....wow.

You: Yeah.

Me: I don't know, though....I think it's missing something.

You: Yeah.

Me: Like...when they ended the second one at the doll factory and shoved him in the assembly line and broke it and it turned ol' Chucky into a goopy mass of doll body parts? That was cool...it was creepy and weird and had...I dunno...more heart and more scares than this new stuff.

You: Yeah.

Me: I miss those days.

You: Those where some great flicks.

Damn you, remakers. Damn you all straight to hell.
