Favorite Playboy Playmate?

Re-reading the "Things You WANT to See in Porn" thread, I read my I want to see more playmates do porn posting again. That got me to wondering if any more chewers are the sort of man (or woman) who reads Playboy (and yes, I do READ it; I discovered the works of John D. MacDonald, who went on to become one of my favorite authors, when I read a condensed version of "The Lonely Silver Rain", one of the Travis McGee novels, in 1985, among other things), and if they have a favorite centerfold.

Keep in mind that many of them went on to become famous; Marilyn Monroe was the 1st Playmate. Jayne Mansfield was another. Jenny McCarthy, Anna Nicole Smith (for good or ill), Shannon Tweed (Gene Simmons' long time girlfriend) also went on to some degree of fame after posing.

Personally, I have always been fond of Shannon Tweed, November 81. Her centerfold photo is one of the most perfect eevr taken, IMO. I also like Karen Witter (April 82) a lot, as well. Guess I'm showing my age in my selections.

Anyone else care to share?

Donna Edmonson is my favorite Playmate. I think she was Playmate Of The Year for 1987.

There was one Playmate from back in the early 80's named Candy Loving that was awesome, and not just because of the name. She had a great body and a beautiful face but she definitely had some 70's bush going on.

Wrong decade with Candy, but not by much. She was in the end of the seventies, where grooming for ladies was a little off the top at best.

You're right on all counts. Those are all very hot playmates. I'd add Sherry Arnette, Sharry Konopski, Cynthia Brimhall and Ava Fabian to the list as well.

Lauren Michelle Hill (different pic in each link) is smoking hot. I actually saw her in a Hooters (or someplace like that) about 6 or 7 years ago - we went in there to watch a game, and she & two other playmates were signing different stuff. I remember her because she was easily the best looking out of the three. The other two had implants, and way too much makeup.

I always thought Brooke Berry was pretty hot - but I'm quite the fan of blue eyed brunettes...

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Pam Anderson or the van Breeschooten twins, yet.

And before you go off on Pam's implant mania and what have you, when she was a Playmate she was un-augmented, and pretty in a fresh-faced, country girl kind of way. I don't fancy the new version, either, but she was awfully cute back in 1990.

Technically, Lisa Boyle was not actually a Playmate. But they're all very hot nonetheless. I watched that whole season of Dancing w/ the Stars just to see Kelly Monaco, and I knew the magazine would soon be running new photos of her, to cash in on her newfound fame. They didn't disapoint, either.

Fuck. I forgot about Karen McDougal. I need to find pics now to remind me.

I thought Stacy Sanchez was hot as well, but I heard and interview with her on satellite radio one time, and she's a rip-roaring bitch. And that makes her a bit more unattractive to me.

Cheryl Bachman.

Her glistening "beach-house" pictorial (as seen in Playboy's Wet & Wild Playmates) during college not only took the wrinkles out of slacks, but also made me blush. We had a stack of these mags around the house (for life drawing reference), and I was sure to claim this issue as my own. Just the fact that I can remember her name (considering she never made the Big Time) and there're girls I went to school with all my youth that don't register a blip on the memory radar, is a true test to Cheryl's legacy.

I would've done that. When I was in college, Somebody swiped my Shannon Tweed, Sharry Konopski and Ava Fabian issues, and as I was walking along the street in Greenwich Village, I saw one of the bums that sell old magazines (porn & legit) selling them for $5.00 a pop. They were easily worth several times that. They were intact, centerfolds and all, and I bought them on the spot, even though the night was just beginning, and we were going to a bar, and the guy I bought them from had no bags for me to hide them in. Did my best to tuck them under my arm, then slide them down between the bench and the wall 'till the night was over. You'll sacrifice a bit for your favorites. It's just that way.
