Lucky Luke: The Animated Film

I dig the animation style and direction. Very accurate capture of the original comic's spirit.

The incorporated 3D elements don't look bad, but it's nice to see some studios still nurturing "mostly 2D".

There's no audio in the library, so I couldn't hear it, but what I saw looked great. The animation is something like Tex Avery meets Flash.

it'll never live up to the original's!

they did the same thing with Asterix a couple years ago, and the animation was great, but the story sucked. Or maybe i'm just too old to enjoy my favorite comic book characters in a new form....

I'm in the school library, so it's the computers that have no audio.

It will probably suck because the story is not based on an original one by Morris. The albums made after his death have all been terrible.

I will die a happy man if I never have to see another film with a mine shaft action sequence.

It does look pretty cool. As with Asterix though, I expect the US to get the shaft on distribution again. What's Canada got that we don't? We've got beer and hockey, don't we?

Sure, but we've got cajuns.

It makes no sense to me that these films don't at least get a DVD release in the US. Maybe it's a rights issue.

I assumed we were talking about people who can read.

Chance Boudreaux takes exception to that remark.
