Essential 100 DVD's
Got my weekly email from the Criterion Collection and they pointed out that four of their titles are on the list. I took a look and found that I have 38 of the 100.

I question why Forrest Gump and Titanic are "essential", but most everything else looks good.

Plus, I'm sure Nick would appreciate if you didn't have any of these, ordering them from Amazon through CHUD...

Cause there's nothing greater than Tom playing a retarded human and DiCaprio drowning.

I've never really liked On the Water Front, speaking of which, Raging Bull at 58? thats a shame

It's also known as Amazon's List of Stock They Need to Clear.

I considered that, but some of them are actually brand new titles, like the Criterion Breathless.

At the very least, it's a good reminder that I'm not spending enough money.

You're a starving college student. You should be spending all your money on drugs and alcohol.

I don't own Spinal Tap. Can you believe that? How did that happen? That's a must own. How do I not own that movie? Hey look, they got the Special Edition for only 7.49! Awesome!

I don't own Do the Right Thing. That's one of my favorite movies ever, and I don't own it. What is wrong with me? Hey, I can get it used for only 5.75! Boss!

And so on and so forth.

Boss?

Yeah. Boss.

This thread made me go off on a tangent and finally pick up that Spike Lee Joint Collection. Do the Right Thing, Crooklyn, Mo Better Blues, Jungle Fever, and Clockers, all for 18.78. That's about 3.50 a film, I tell myself. A bargain, I tell myself.

Could be worse. I could have the purchasing habits of MikeShaynePI.

The commentary on Spinal Tap is priceless.

Patrick, do the right thing and start a thread on Crooklyn once you've watched (rewatched?) it. That's a Spike Lee joint I've never seen and I can find no good discussion of it here on Chuddy-CHUD-CHUD.

You know I start threads for damned near every movie I see, of course I'll start one for a Spike Lee Joint.
