At the The Palomar Hotel on Fourth Street. Anything cool nearby? I just have the evening, though. Short trip

Are you just looking for good bars/clubs, or something more?

Please note when Tieman said "something more", a slight smile appeared on his face.

Just trying to figure what's in the neighborhood. If there's a good bar nearby that's something. I know I have a per diem, but I doubt it's cash, so the hotel restaurant/bar may be my spot of choice, but if there's something close, I wouldn't mind not hanging in the hotel.

There are a number of places within a quarter mile of the hotel, including a good Irish Bar and a Techno club.

I'm a beer/whiskey/scotch person myself, so I'd go with the pub. Plus the kitchen is open until 10pm.

The bar in the hotel you're staying in looks a little hoitey-toitey, but they probably make a good dirty martini.

eta: In case you want to watch baseball/football, there's a sports bar right up the street, too.

The techno club is closed on Sundays. Drat.

I'm sure the hotel has good food and stuff, it's just I get in at eight-ish and if there aren't any cute single writers amongst our group, I might want to check out what's nearby.
