Phineas and Ferb

from some of the Family Guy creator's comes Disney's new show Phineas and Ferb.

See the opening here.

Sneak Previews have run after High School Musical 2 earlier this year on the Disney Channel.

The series will start in February.

My fear is that my son (who is named Phineas) will be subjected to constant teasing related to this show should it become extremely successful.

I love the first post under the video... " I love this show".

But it's not on yet.

Regardless, it looks harmless. My kids'll prolly eat it up.

Nah, I imagine he'll be subjected to endless teasing simply because his name is Phineas.

*shakes fist

well all the rednecks here in NC act like they've never heard of the name Phineas. That's when I tell them to read the Bible... or a Separate Peace.

I'd like to bump this thread with an answer to Tieman's question and a confession of my undying love for this show. To business...Bowling For Soup does the theme song for Phineas & Ferb, and it's almost impossible not to bop along with the tune.

The show is funny, inventive, and joy to watch with the kids. In addition, P&F reclaims the kid show comedy high ground from Spongebob and the rest of the watered-down Ren & Stimpy clones that pass for enjoyable kids television. They never resort to the lowest common denominator, and it's amazing how entertaining the show can be...even though it shares a channel with vapid live-action tween dreck like The Suite Life.

If you've got kids, and even if you don't, you should check it out. Perry the Platypus locked in confilct with Dr. Doofenschmirtz, the impotent rage of Candace as she attempts to bust her brothers, the endless resourcefulness of Isabella her Fireside Girls. It's all great.

My kids love this show. We had a long drive over the weekend with about a 30 minute stretch where they did nothing but sing the theme song from memory, and that's not the easiest song to catch all the words to.
