This is how local-yokel superstitions get started... Achtung! Zombie!

Sleeping Man Dressed as Zombie Mistaken for Corpse on Train in Germany

A drunken Halloween reveller in Germany found his costume was a little too realistic when he fell asleep on a train and was mistaken for a corpse.

Fellow passengers thought the man, who was dressed as a gore-covered zombie, had been murdered and called the police.

Police in the northern town of Bad Segeberg revealed how the 24-year-old had fallen into a drunken slumber on his way home from a Halloween party in Hamburg.

Believing his hands and face were smeared with blood, passengers alerted officers after getting no response from him.

A first aid team which was called to the scene soon cleared up the confusion, however.

Police told the man to remove his make-up, after which he was allowed to continue his journey.

Police spokeswoman Sikle Tobies said: "Bad Segeberg is in a rural area, and Halloween isn't very well known there.

"So people weren't expecting anyone to be dressed up in the train."

It's a good thing I wasn't on that train, or e would have been awakend by a shotgun blast to the face.

This never would've happened in Good Segeberg.

Which is totally within your rights, too. When dealing with a possible zombie infestation, it's always better to shoot first and ask questions later.

Are you fucking kidding me? Hasn't halloween been around for like a thousand years in Europe, in one form or another? How fucking rural ARE they in this Kraut backwater that they don't even know what Halloween is?

You, my friend, are what I like to call ahead of the curve. Shoot first, ask questions later.

Indeed...

It sounds like they may have something to hide there in BAD SEGEBERG!

Erlauben Sie, mein Herr, dies klarzustellen:

Sure we have fucking Halloween, though not in the way you celebrate it. Our ancestors celebrated the same stuff in different clothings.
But Halloween as you celebrate it in the states has been basicly a non-issue in Germany up until the nineties. We had and still have "Karneval". That´s the shit to dress up, get pissed, get laid et al. to.
Then suddendly you could buy good ol´ US-halloween stuff in every store. Good opportunity to sell chinese plastic shit to kids and parents alike. Just like fucking mothersday or valentinesday.
Another drinking day force fed to us. Not that we don´t have enough beer-celebrations.

But you are right on one account:
Bad Segeberg is rural. It is on the axis of boredom. If we are ever building chemical weapons (again...?) than we should test em there. Perfect area.

Vielen Dank und mit freundlichen Grüßen,

Sauerkraut

"But your honor, what if he WAS a zombie? Huuuhh? You'd be thanking me! Think about it."

Hmmm. Iguess it's England & the Celts that gave us most of our traditions. Don't know why I assumed it had wormed its way over to The Continent in the same way. Formerly Celtic infuence in France, I guess. Hope I didn't offend you. 'S juss a little joke!

BTW, are you sure you want to refer to anything in Germany as the "axis" of something?
