Flight Of The Conchords: Complete First Season 11/06/07

It's out Tuesday. And it snuck up fast.

From the look of things, it doesn't have any special features. Only the 12 episodes spread out over 2 discs for something like $19.99 (+ tax). This also concerns me, because that consumerist voice in the recess of my mind is nagging away suggesting double-dip at some point. However, the episodes are too amazing not to own, so I guess should it come to that, double-dip away.

Who else is buying?

It's a pretty fair price for an HBO show, and I do love this show, so I definitely want to get it... if I can find the money. Some special features would have been nice, true. Like some commentaries by Bret and Jemaine and David Bowie. But oh well.

What the hell is this shit? The ENTIRE season of a television? I expect to purchase two halves a season, dammit! God, I must be living in some bizarro world where shit actually makes sense.

I'll be picking this up. For anyone that's interested, iTunes has a bunch of free behind the scenes videos as part of the Conchords podcast.

As far as I know, HBO has never double-dipped a show (the closest they've come is adding a soundtrack disc to the Six Feet Under complete series DVD.) Your best bet is to hope that the S2 DVD has more features.

Yeah, I think it's more likely a different zone may come with different extras than a double dip. Or maybe even an eventual HD or blue ray release.
