Myself and a buddy now have a website and a podcast. www.pressatojoin.net . Greatest thing in the world? Not quite, we only just recorded the second one on Sunday. But we're working on it, correcting (more, new) technical difficulties each week and if anyone feels like they have the time, we wouldn't mind comments. Tell us we suck and then tell us why so we can fix it. Tell us we rock and we'll try to keep doing just that. The podcast goes up every Monday evening when I get home from work and by God, the RSS feed works just dandy. Also, the little play/stop flash player? Don't use it. It speeds up the podcast to chipmunk level. Just download it, that works fine. So, if you give it a shot (and at least another, we're new to these kind of shenanigans), thanks.

It's definitely getting better, I think, and if you get some time in the week, please, give it a shot. And download it, don't use the little flash player. It's busted and I don't know why. Thanks.

Thanks for giving it a shot, man. I just noticed that the top is a bunch of shopping carts (what the fuck?) so I'm getting my buddy to change that and ask about maybe getting the flash player to not suck.

The Super Mario World segment was great. It's going to make me pull out the old SNES, I think. It would probably be easier to download it on the VC but I'm saving my points for Zombies Ate My Neighbors, dammit. Nintendo, release that shit!

Bum, bum BUUUUMMMM!!! Tim got better, so we recorded. I'm trying a thing, which I did last week, with the fading of the conversations into the music and back. I'm hoping it helps the flow, keeps 'em a little shorter. Don't need 2 hr long epics! Let me know what you faithful few think. And you should totally buy Burnout Paradise, Rob. You know you're wrong when you don't think it's any good.

Christ, man. The new burnout is so completely awesome. We spent about an hour in the quarry just driving around, doing challenges and trying to get some of the stunt achievements. I also drifted for a mile and a half. That shit is great. Couldn't do that Burnout 3, could ya?

That's okay, Brian. If I had a podcast, I wouldn't want to admit to be second best on it either. Of course, the other part of that story is that I totally nerded it up and practiced for hours on my retail copy so I could grab the high score. What can I say? I was in high school band nerd. I had a LOT of free time.

Also, the space marines from Gears of War invite you to eat shit and die. Remember when Cliffy B was saying how Fenix and his crew weren't going to be your stereotypical FPS protagonists? OLOLOLOL

Oh, and Discs of Tron is great.

Which game did you play in the tourney? I don't remember what all the choices were, I just remember getting Marvel trading cards after each one and the bored BB attendant standing next to you as you played.

Well, to be fair, we don't have many FPS characters being absurd African-American stereotypes, so there is that. And Return Fire was fucking awesome, you shut your damn filthy mouth, you liar, you. Actually, not drunk, just insane. I have no idea why I couldn't pronounce "turrets."

The first year, when I came in 4th or 5th place, was NBA Jam (I spammed the bottom corner of the 3-point line with Isiah Thomas for, like, 70 points in the one half you were allowed to play), Clayfighter, and...I forget the third game. I know the games were different depending on whether you played SNES or Genesis. It was one game a week for three weeks.

The second year, when I won the whole thing, was the special Donkey Kong Country cart. One play a week for three weeks where they took the best score of the three tries. I didn't go to the national tourney but I think it was only certain areas where that option was available.

IIRC, the following year it was just a sweepstakes then the whole program dissapeared.

That one checkpoint you mention in Gears is surely one of the worst checkpoints ever. How hard would it be to put another quick checkpoint at the top of the hill at the end of the slow walk? It's even worse because your teammates are so unreliable and it only takes one out-of-nowhere torque-bow shot to ruin your day. I still really like the game and am excited for the sequel but, man, that part tests my loyalty.

I endorse the continued Rock Band and Burnout Paradise lovefest.

It's just so. Fucking. BAAAAAD. And annoying. And painful. Maybe if the voice acting and writing were better. Maybe if the Tourque Bow wasn't instant kill (on you. not them) cheapness. God, I fucking hate checkpoints. Are you ever on in Paradise? You need to come play with us sometime.

I don't have Paradise yet but I've logged some time on the PS3 demo. I was going to challenge you to Rock Band last night but I moved my 360 to the HDTV and was barely hitting anything. I think I need to adjust for lag.

Hey, thanks for the words, man. What with the downtime and the website not letting us upload podcasts, it's been weird in Press A Land. But, if Tim can not fucking go to sleep the second he goes home, we can maybe get one done tonight or next weekend.

And yes, we will have to get our Weezer on. Because it's Weezer. And they are awesome. You get your Burnout yet? I hear the free DLC is in about 2 weeks...
