For anyone wondering what Dan's been up to- http://www.creature-corner.com/?type=news&id=2983

Wow, that looks really cool. The modern take on "The Pit and the Pendulum" is certainly an interesting choice, though I'm not sure I dig some of the changes to the plot. Anyway, very cool project; congrats to the Chud folks involved.

Been wondering about ol' Dan, his presence is sorely missed on CHUD. This thing looks great, I'll definitely pick it up.

I figured he was whoring his body out for money and blow. I'm disappointed, he's done some real work lately.

I guess I will have to check this out.

Now that looks cool. Good for Dan! Poe = teh hotness

Dan contributed the "Fall of the House of Usher" and "The Raven" for this, and his "How to Write Screenplays. Badly." partner in crime, the irascible Slater, shows up with adaptations of "The Tell Tale Heart" and "Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar". I've seen a few of the stories intro pages, and the whole project looks fantastic.

He just dropped me a line to let me know that other Chud folks were in this too- inthemind and The Prankster contributed to the book as well. (not sure if they want their real names revealed)

And a forward by Roger Corman! Fuck!

Really digging the art on the Pit & the Pendulum sample. I'm sad to say I don't know as many Poe stories as I should, but this seems like as good a way as any to delve in deeper to the man's work. Adaptations or not, chances are if I like the stories I'd be intrigued enough to check out all the source material, right?

Congratulations to all involved.

Wow, good on all the Chewers involved. That's a hell of an accomplishment.

That is so typically Corman. He's been bugging me with those fucking "fw dis 2 ten frends n ur wishes will cum thru" mails for years.

Great work to all Chewers involved!

This is the best thing Dan's done since he resurrected Fatty Werbal.

Congeats to all involved.

I still miss Dan, though. And Charlie, too. If there's one thing this board needs more of, it's proper English gentlemen.

Kudos to all the chewers involved.

I'll be picking this up.

Thank you, all, for your congratulations for my small part in this book. I contributed a 12-page riff on "The Masque of the Red Death", and Mr. Inthemind drew it (and it's a tough story to draw in black and white, let me tell you).

I'm really psyched to see this thing when it finally gets shipped from England. Oh, and I don't mind people knowing my real name. It's "Grant Morrison".

Just got my copies. Great stuff all around, even with me in there fucking up the bell curve.

I can't even say how geeked I am to see my name in a comic book. I've been waiting for this for twenty years.

The greatness of this is beyond words. I can't wait to dig into it. Congrats to Dan and everyone who contributed!

The art for Dan's portion in particular is fantastic. Like Mike Mignola on crack.
