STAR TREK XI Miscasting Just About Complete - Page 2

I am definitely not the biggest fan of the new TREK, but I just stumbled across this old article... And holy crap is it ever funny. Bruce Greenwood as a threat to TREK? He wound up as the MVP of the film! 

Devin was completely wrong about that one. Especially regarding Karl Urban. 

 Hell, everyone one was wrong about Karl Urban and he was one of the best things about the movie!

I rewatched this again a couple weeks ago and still think Pine's the weakest link in the film. Douchey, screechy and out-of-his element -- his choices just don't suggest he's playing James Kirk.

I like his general attidude and the way he carries himself, but yes, he overplayed it and it was a bit grating, the constant disrespect he showed everyone around him. Hopefully he's allowed to play Kirk as a leader next time, and not a frat boy

Princess Kate, Chris Pine, Leonard Nimoy, Zoe Saldana and Karl Urban are the only performances I liked in...JJ Abrams Star Trek.  Everyone else was just...OK!  I hope there are...Klingons this time.  I would also...Love a cameo by...William Shatner as...George Samuel Kirk, James T's dad!  I am a fan of the new...Enterprise!  New Trek, is so much more fun than either...TNG, Voyager and Enterprise!  However it still is not even close to either...Star Trek, Star Trek The Animated Series or Star Trek The Films (in order) II, III, IV, VI!  It is better than...The Motion Picture and leagues better than ST V!  I am looking forward to Star Trek...Not II!
