Weird flick. It feels like... the friends of Kevin Smith set out to make a flick that has the tone of
Boondock Saints and winded up with one that resembles
Jesus Christ Vampire Slayer by way of
Fight Club.
If that description made little sense, you know how I felt watching it. Lots of elements I enjoyed (ridiculous characters, premise, etc) and others felt a little forced. Had a tough time knowing if I was supposed to take anything serious because of the presentation (somber narration, dour events) or if it was all tongue in cheek.
Don't regret watching it at all. I'm curious about whatever other endeavors they pursue.
