Really interesting interview. I was more and more stupefied as I kept reading- the movie sounds like an unmitigated disaster. I can't wait to witness this.

That, I think, is what has me excited to see it.

In today's film industry of recycled toy commercials and mopey indie dysfunctional families, falling flat on your face by overreaching is something I admire, even when I don't admire the end product. If it's terrible, at the least it will be audaciously terrible.

Based on the director's cut of Donnie Darko, he didn't really understand that one, either.

I'm sort of afraid of this. Should be a fascinating disaster. Which means it's worth seeing. Fascinating disasters usually are, if at least once.

Not even a blip on the radar for me. I thought DD was decent, but overrated. Kelly seems clearly out of his league here with SLT, which looks to be an abortion.
