Dan Dare Returns

What the fuck is it about the return of exceptional British comics recently? Last week I finally got the 4th book in the sublime collection of Charley's War, and this Wednesday Dan Dare returns to the comic stores, courtesy of Garth Ennis.

Sweet! I loved Dan Dare when I was little. I wonder how it holds up after all these years.

Pretty solid stuff. Ennis is wearing his PG hat here, but there's a nice introduction of the post-war Dare, some supporting characters, and the return of the alien threat. Political allegories not too heavy.

Added to the grab list.

Been following this - very decent, an excellent homage, with solid art. Ennis' work bodes well if he ever decides to do Charlie's War.
