"Why can't The Bible look as cool as Star Wars was the question I based this on."
Wooooooooow. I mean, really.
Awesome. The Bible is a pretty action-packed book, and if you took out the moralizing the Old Testament would make for one hell of a tribal epic.

I love how in David and Goliath, Goliath is a giant robot and David rides a hover board but he still uses an ancient slingshot. Just beautiful.

Moses' turd staff stink blots are cool, but those pics need more LIEFELD. I'll need to see some cracked swords and spineless women before I consider buying this.

Liefeld is up to his old tricks. Can't wait for his New Testament adaptation, his action version of JC and the Disciples... of pain will be awesome.

I can see it now:
ROB LIEFELD'S
REVELATION

God made us in his image... so he must have some fucked up anatomy according to how Liefeld draws people.
haha ... excellent link. you guys should translate some of the super sarcastic commentary ...

Quote:
In the first place, in Rob's drawing we find a masculine figure, robust and gifted with body hair. What do we have in the other one? A red-headed sissy with a bowl hair cut! Must be why they painted the background pink. Rob, on the other hand, being the educated man that he is, knows Japanese comics, and from them learned how to use "cinematic lines" like nobody else.

Holy shit some of those rip-offs are blatant.

There are few pleasures in life as exquisite as hating Rob Liefeld's artwork. I mean it.

I love that the sarcastic geek hate of Liefeld knows not the limitations of language or international borders. Speaking of plagiarism isn't Goliath a little similar to Jack Kirby's giants in Eternals?

Those Bible drawings can't be Liefeld, the feet look in proportion.
Is it really Liefeld who did the Bible drawings? It kind of looks like art by someone who is trying to imitate Liefeld but has an ever-so-slightly better grasp of anatomy and proportion. There's a copyright line at the bottom of the David and Goliath sketch but I can't read it.

Supposedly these drawings are from a ROB LIEFELD SKETCHBOOK that came out years ago during his Arcade Comics glory days.

Awesome. This was one of the most entertaining reads I've had in a while. And God, Liefeld's hands and feet...terrible.

Wow. I thought you were joking, and then I clicked the link. 'Holy' shit.

People are still discovering the inept stylings of Rob Liefeld?

I dont know if that's awesome or sad......

This made me laugh though:

To be fair, you would grimace too if your neck was doing that. I honestly had no fucking god damn idea why that face and hand are there. How do you get perfectly symmetrical tears on your pants like that? Haha, ruined T-shirt, shredded Dockers jeans, perfect tiny little dress shoes. The shield is all fucked-up and Liefeld never learned to draw anything other than early-90s feathered, blow-dried hair that doesn’t touch the ears. I think the only sideburns he’s ever drawn were on women. I think he just draws the face and then draws a big floppy squiggle on top with an arrow pointing to it that says “(hair)” and then the inker sighs and takes a pull of Southern Comfort and does his job as best he can.

Reimagining Samson as Jada Pinkett Smith? Interesting choice.

The copyright at the bottom of David and Goliath doesn't look like Liefield -- though I can't make it out clearly and I don't have the interest to look up the names of any companies he owns.

Though I find, being in the dental industry, his drawings are damn exciting.
I didn't even know the dude was still alive.
I've always thought, in addition to the obvious proportion problems, that all of his characters for some reason looked like they were wrapped in shrink-wrap.

Yeah, I've seen articles ripping on Liefeld for years (and years), but that one is funny.

Also, just noticed your avatar, and all I have to say is:

Pectoral solicitations! How was your conquest of Fragamacrunch?

If you asked Rob Liefeld to draw a diagram of the uterus he'd put on a pair of gauntlets and punch the shit out of your chalkboard.
One of the best things I've read all year.

I know. Hence my joke.
