On a more serious note... What a complete crock of shit the journalistic integrity is on that piece. Her feet aren't on backward; she has such severe contracture that her feet are essentially 'curled under' and she's walking on the tops of her feet. A glance at the picture shows that.

Also, when this occurs in other species its considered to be a very painful condition. Lovely that she wasn't able to get medical care to correct it in infancy. I'm glad she's been able to make do, and hope she doesn't suffer too badly as she ages and becomes arthritic.

I didn't notice that Bele. If you look at the left foot, you can see her heel near the other lady's hand. But deriding The Daily Mail for journalistic integrity? Hilarious!

Take a closer look, she's actually walking on what would be considered the top of the foot. You can see the toenails.

It's like someone just snapped her feet backwards instead of twisting around 180 degrees.
