Here is the place to brag about the cool stuff you received from other Chewers.

Goodfellas, The Searchers and Mutiny on the Bounty (1962) on HD-DVD from Belethedhelial.

Thanks again, Belethed!

Rich should be getting his stuff today or Monday.

Nice poster and nice paint job. I'd be too worried to send something like across country. I'm afraid it would get smashed in transit.

Nick (Thalasi) rocks!

I got Ringers: Lord of the Fans and the two-disc Cd set of Motown Classics which I have been aching to get so that I don't have to spend 80 hours on iTunes trying to find all those great Motown hits!

Thanks so much!
Wow! Great gifts and there is not a bad song on that entire Motown CD.

Indeed. Listened to it while loading it onto my iTunes, while wrapping most of my family's gifts, so that I can send them out tomorrow. Then celebrated by going to see Bourne Ultimatum, for the first time, at a new theatre which is opening later this week and was showing it for $2. So it was a great evening!
With that track list I would not have been able to wrap gifts as I'd be too busy dancing.

The trick is to dance AND wrap at the same time. The gifts come out looking a little wonky, but hey, it's Christmas, and it's the thought that counts, right?
I hear you. I'm well known with family/friends with my "wonky" wrapping. Combine a few drinks with some music and I have a blast.

Sounds like me driving (only, without the drinking, of course). Turn up the music and dance!

I lied. Because from now on, while driving, I'll be listening to the audiobook of To Kill A Mockingbird (performed by Sissy Spacek), which arrived in my mailbox today, thanks to the incredible generosity of Nick (Thelasi)!

Holy Cow! Anderson is the man! I checked the package he sent me and there were 2 things inside. The first was the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean flick on Blu-Ray, which is great since I had been meaning to pick it up to go along with the first two I have on the format. It's extra cool because I missed the movie in the theater so now I can finally sit on my butt and check it out. The second thing in the package was the dvd set of Twin Peaks - the Definitive Gold Box Edition. Twin Peaks was a show I've never seen but have always been curious about and now I can check out the whole thing. Hot diggity!!! It really was a pleasant surprise. I've already let Anderson know that he made my day, but here I am to let the rest of you know as well.

Sweet!

Sweet!
I remember when Twin Peaks was on originally. It was like an addiction, a compulsion. Even when we hated it, we watched it religiously.

Also, on an entirely unrelated note, there is a group of carollers going around my apartment/townhouse complex. I've been here for 4 Christmases and this is the first time we've had anything of this nature. At least they know more than the first verse of Silent Night, even if they aren't all able to carry the tune.
Wow. You guys don't fuck around on your gift exchanges.
If ever there was a time I'd beg for pwesssssents.
My package came yesterday, and had a copy of The Conversation on DVD (which has a Walter Murch commentary!) and 100 Bullets Vol. 10: Decayed. Thanks, Eileen!

Host a movie marathon down in Atlanta. Just don't show "The Poughkeepsie Tapes".

That Twin Peaks set costs upwards of $80! And that's in addition to a Blu-Ray DVD. Christ! Both my gifter and my giftee's presents are around $30. It's the thought that counts, right?!

Chris O. got me the Collectors Edition of Knocked Up. I can't wait until my finals are over and I can watch all the bonus goodies! Thanks, Chris!
Nick....

send me your address. I'll whip some Sea Monkeys and Magic Rocks your way for some holiday cheer.

PS: Don't eat the monkeys. They taste narsty.

Cool beans. Urban Justice DVD just arrived and since I'm a Seagal fan this is simply sweeeeeeet. Thanks Rath

PS: Rath PM'd me and said I have another gift coming in but it probably won't get to me until after the holidays.
Eileen, there's another Amazon gift that I ordered with the Segal. It should be there before Christmas.
I just received a UPS box baring season 1 of Battlestar Galactica from Tieman. Thanks much, man! I can't wait to start refreshing myself since I haven't even caught up on the last season and a half.

BTW Chris, your stuff should be arriving shortly!
I got a book called "Getting the Joke: The Inner Workings of Stand-Up Comedy" which is fucking amazing. So, yeah, Graham is awesome.
The most exalted Hammerhead sent this to my doorstep:

It now enjoys a place of honor on top of my DVD shelf, right over the OT. I thank you, sir.
Holy shit! I come home from the gym just now, exhausted from working all night at Best Buy and what do I see? A package by the door... the hell is this? Amazon.com, the fuck? Open it up... a book...??? Wait...

THE FOUNTAIN DVD?!?!!? AND BOOK?! *ejaculate* Wait? When did I get an erection? Fuck it, no time for that now! I have to bask in the glory of this amazing and unexpected gift! *hump pillow while looking at DVD and book*

Thank you Adam. This is definitely one of the best gifts I have received in recent years. That includes friends and family. I haven't seen The Fountain and I was ridiculously close to buying it before I left work this morning. It was in a two-pack with Run Lola Run. Wow... amazing. I'm going to save this movie for when I have a day off so I can fully enjoy it.

The hell? An odd choice for a two pack.

Well, they are both about people transcending time to save their true loves, so it's not a huge stretch.

P.S. The Star Wars Poster Sculpture is available here. This was my first year participating-- glad it was a hit!
Damn, too expensive for my student budget. Thanks for the link.
whoa, whoa, Optimash Prime Mr. Potatohead? Schwartz, I want to change my wish list right now!
Too late, Doctor. You'll have to make do with what I ordered off Amazon when I was high the other night.
Curses! I wasn't fast enough.

Looking forward to whatever crazy, drug induced gift you sent!

SOLD!!
Still waiting to hear/get something from Anthony Sollecito. bendrix should have his stuff by now... or will be getting it soon.
The gift I sent to Schwartz shows up as delivered, but he let me know he's out of town so he probably won't be getting his hands on it until the end of the month. Hopefully it will still be, uh, fresh... and stuff.

I hope you hear from your gift buddy Jason. It's kind of a bummer to get scrooged over here. Here's to hoping for the best.
Well, at least you didn't send him a cat, right?

...right?
He was on the boards today.

I'll let you know as soon as I get my mitts on the goods. I'm actually leaving town Friday, so I'll have my gf retrieve it if it's not here by then.

On the off-chance Sollecito doesn't get back to you, I'll make sure you don't leave the party empty-handed. That just wouldn't be kosher.

Matt M is SOOOOO Awesome.

I got volumes 1-3 of the Lone Wolf and Cub manga. I've always wanted to read these, so I can pretty much write off my evening now.

I also received 42nd Street Forever Vol.1. It has 47 grindhouse trailers including They Call Her One Eye (1974), Italian Stallion (1970), & Fred Williamson's Boss N***er (1975). Classic!

Thanks a ton, Matt! I'm that loser at work whose entire Mac hard drive is filled with movie trailers, so this is just aces!!!

Oh, and he signed the card "Chudily Yours". HA!

You thank me now, but with 24 more volumes at $10 a pop, your wallet will curse me later.

Glad you didn't already have them!

That was part of the reason I hadn't started them yet. But now I have an excuse for my wife!

My wallet has plenty of other reasons to curse me (*cough* hi-def movies *cough*)
