Saturday Night Live season sets

I'm interested in collecting some of the SNL seasons, especially some of the late 80s/early 90s stuff, but at the rate they are being released at, it looks like I'll be an old man before they get to that point. How can they just release these things once a year?

Yeah, I got the first season but I'm not really looking to get any more until the Hartman/Carvey years start up. Perhaps the Crystal/Short/Shearer season would be on my radar mainly because I haven't seen a lot of the stuff from that year but what I have seen I've liked. Even that one is a good 7 or 8 years away at this current pace.

I'm curious if the music rights are contributing to the slow releases. I don't know if they cleared all that up from the start or figure that out one season at a time.

I would murder a million babies to get the '94 season which has a Duchovny hosted episode that features "The Polar Bear Sketch"

I need to pick the 2nd season up. I got the first last year for Christmas.
