I've Arrived!

I checked my e-mail late last night, and much to my surprise, there was a message from the author, Mr. Savory himself, sitting in my inbox. I opened it with, I admit, some trepidation, since at times I was less than complimentary of this work.

But Mr. Savory was gracious about the criticism, and thanked me for the praise I did give the book at points. he also REALLY thanked me for the praise I've been fairly heaping on "The Distance Travelled" since I read it. I mentioned in the review how I'd like to see him do a novel that was devoid of the wry and absurd humor TDT was loaded with; he named one, and also indicated there is a sequel to TDT out there. Guess I'll have to visit Amazon soon. And he also said the ambiguous endings are intentional because he "digs them." Guess I kinda figured that.

So I guess it's official and I am now a critic. And I also know for sure that at least one other person read this damn thing. Just goes to show, fellow corner creatures; you NEVER know who's perusing our stuff.
