Comic Book Character Draft: Discussion Thread - Page 7

I'm blown away that Rorschach and Midnighter weren't taken.

What a coup!
Snootchie Bootchies!

And hey, aren't we picking a vehicle/inanimate object as well? Or is that a "bonus" round today?
Yeah, I was surprised Rorshach lasted so long as well. I came this close to picking him and V, who I was also very surprised to see still on the board, in the last round.

There's still about a half dozen or so heroes out there that I would have been happy to snag.

Damn. The Maestro. Completely slipped my mind.

I was trying to fit Joe Fixit in there too, so how many Hulk variations I could sneak in but he just missed the cut.

I was considering Luke Cage or War Machine but it just didn't come together. The Madman pick was sort of a tip of the cap to a friend of mine.

Uh Martianman, I've got Electro already. Got to choose someone else.

dammit I can't believe I forgot about Gladiator

Hmm...checked the list like 3 times and didn't see him. That's fine, I'll change it.

EDIT: Ahh, I see you picked him today. That's why I didn't see him on the list. I scanned it really quickly and missed the pick. That's OK. I took a Ragna Rok-er.

It's alright, it was a last-minute edit to put him in instead of Kevin from Sin City which is probably why you didn't see him the first few times.

Called off final Top 100 tally.
Lack of interest on all sides.

I hope that you liked the draft for what it was.

How did this get up to 21 pages?

I'm thinking as much.

It was great Anderson, I still propose we could vote on how well each drafter did by their final output but overall it was good times.

Not a problem, everyone.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone got something out of it by varying it up a little bit. I know that some people were expecting a more traditional draft, but they can go suck a dick.

I'd do the vote thing, but I think a lot of people have already taken off for the upcoming holiday.
Sorry I didn't post sooner I had a holiday office party to attend to. But this was really great fun. It was a better idea to call off the top 100 seeing how I can never really rank shit like that. But this was a great idea Anderson, plus I enjoyed developing my own Super-hero/villain teams. Great times.

Not a problem, people.

Thanks for participating.
A little late but ... Thanks, Anderson -- had lots of fun!

Merry Christmas everyone!
Yeah, thanks for running this.

I could have gone a while longer. Enemy Ace, Nexus, Badger, and Huntress (Helena Wayne) were on my list of characters that I would have liked, but 10 is a good number.

Same here.

After I burned through the DC Silver and Bronze Ages, I could've dominated through Marvel and then Image and then Dark Horse and then Comico and then on and on and on.

I could've gone for another 10 rounds. Hell, I probably would've drafted the entire JLA Satellite Era team.

Thanks again, and have a happy holiday.

Thanks!

I thought about doing a Top 100 Comic Stories of All Time "LIST" in a month or so. That is if there's enough folks that would dig something like that.
I could get behind that.

Cool. I was looking at what Wizard has done in the past two years with their Top 100 Lists and I feel that could better gel with what everyone wants.
I could get into a stories list as well.
