These have been floating around the net forever, and I don't think I've seen a single thread on them, but they are fucking gold.

I've seen several versions of pages like these, but this has some good ones that I've never seen before. I love Heino. Brailettes is just tragic and hilarious.

I always love seen the old "Country Church" and "Ken by Request" in these lists. I feel so sorry for those Country Church guys, yet I feel compelled to find out what their lives are like, maybe in the hope that they're not as sad as I would think.

By the way, you'd be hard pressed to tell which is more parody-my Will Ferrel "Inspiration" avatar, or Ken by Request.

It wont be long until another album with a cover very similar to the Orleans one gets a very high rating on Pitchfork.

I always thought the cover to Black Sabbath's record Paranoid was pretty bad. As a visual metaphor, it makes no sense. Like, why is that dude jumping out from behind a tree brandishing a sword? I guess he's paranoid. Or something.

And yeah, I know the original title was supposed to be War Pigs and they changed it at the last minute, but even then, it's still a stupid cover. They should've had some dude with a really big fucking gun on the cover. And Satan.

I have to say that the mainstream weird stuff just comes across as wannabe avant garde artiste, and the unknowns just come across as... creepy and/or sad. I guess that shows if you wanna be a weirdo artist/musician, you better be famous.

EDIT: Roger DOES have many facets.
