The not-quite-white-but-'ll-have-to-do guy doesn't possess Tim Robbins' whimsical smile and carefree demeanor that would seem more appropriate on a child than a grown man, and the clearly-black man does not appear to be cut from the same "Friend of White Men" cloth as Morgan Freeman.

Because of these character flaws, they will be caught.

You raise a good point. It would be racist to assign them based on their individual race. The man afflicted by horrible acne will have Morgan Freeman-esque pock marks covering his face later in life.

...

But...fuck. He's Hispanic. Was Edward James Olmos in that movie?

Well, they didn't exactly disappear like a "fart in the wind", but credit where credit is due, it was a hell of an escape. My guess is they'll hit Zihuatanejo afore too long.

Oh and could whoever nabs Jose (looking at YOU, Sonic Boom!) teach him how to work soap and water? 20 years old, the guy can formulate a plan to bust out of prison, but can't grasp how to wash his face?

500 yards - that's the length of five football fields - just short of half a mile.

I think I know where they might head first. There's a big hayfield up near Buxton...One in particular. It's got a long rock wall, a big oak tree at the north end. It's like something out of a Robert Frost poem. It's where I asked my wife to marry me. We went there for a picnic and made love under that oak and I asked and she said yes. In the base of that wall, you'll find a rock that has no earthly business in a Maine hayfield. A piece of black, volcanic glass.

The guard "responsible" for the escape commited suicide the other day, just before he was to be interviewed.

To answer Iggy's earlier post, he was probably wondering how the hell Jose and Otis got the better of him.

Fellas.. you're all forgetting one important thing. People couldn't be negatively influenced by the Shawshank, it's critically acclaimed!

No, clearly the blame on this one lies with Grand Theft Auto, Marilyn Manson and the rap genre in general.. the high cost of living and the fact that Walker: Texas Ranger is not still in full syndication.

Goddamn you, CBS.. your negligence will doom us all.
