I hate myself even more now for remembering laughing. You know what? On second thought, fuck that movie.

I agree with a lot of this statement. I didn't feel this way while I was watching it, but while I was leaving the theater, I was wondering to myself whether I still should find this kind of thing funny at age 32. I watched it again on DVD this past month and I got the same feeling. So, I'm not really sure whether the movie was bad or whether it caused me to have some sort of slight existential crisis.
Another disappointment was the aforementioned "Sunshine". After reading all of the press declaring it the new Blade Runner, I had really high expectations for it. And those expectations were being met, somewhat, for the first 2/3 of the movie. I'm not going to ruin the flick for those who haven't seen it, but most of you know about one of the most notoriously terrible third acts in recent movie history.
Also, the Spiderman 3 thing. Usually I don't have any expectations for summer blockbusters, especially sequels. I didn't really like the first Spiderman but I loved the second one, so I had raised expectations
for number three. With Sam Raimi in charge, I knew that it would at least be kind of weird. What a surprise!!! It was terrible! It was boring! It made me consider leaving the theater before it was over, which is something I NEVER do, because I really didn't care what happened.
