Films With Multiple Versions: Where Do You Start? - Page 2

THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY - The longer cut, if only for a beautiful scene featuring Lee Van Cleef in the ruins of a Union fort. New voice work by Eastwood and Wallach distracts.

APOCALYPSE NOW REDUX - French plantation sequence brings everything to a screeching halt, but I don't want to go back to a version that's missing Kurtz and his Time article. Or the surfboard hijinks. Or the Bunnies and the helicopter.

THE KILLING OF A CHINESE BOOKIE - The epic-length 1976 version. More character development. Later version should be viewed for outtakes.

DEEP RED - Argento's preferred edit (over 2 hours) is outstanding, but either of the two shorter cuts (international or U.S.) will do in a pinch.

Blade Runner- The first cut. I for one love the voice overs. Add to the fact Decker is not a robot ending is the only ending for me
