I always seem to get sick when I'm on vacation (like this past weekend).

Christmas colds are awful. But on the bright side all Christmas cold medicine is 50% off today.

I'm sorry folks. Hanging around relatives the past couple days has made my humor all wholesome. Bear with me while I shake it off.

Was on vacation and all the people were coughing up their ancestors around me. Was only a matter of time before I got hit. Fuck it, though. Plus, I had a nightmare about a ghost during a feverdream.

Some form of Christmas relatives offsprings was wandering around the littered wrapings of opened presents, holding in her hands a cup full of ice-cubes that she'd pop into her mouth until it got too cold, spat them back into her hand and back into the cup. She walks up to me, gestures an offer of diseased saliva cubes, I decline the offer, she wipes her germ spittled fingers dry on my hand, and so ended my yuletide health.

As far as I can remember I've had a cold around Christmas. I'd feel kind of weird if I was OK for once.

One of the rug-rats at our Chritmas party kept coughing all over the goddam buffet table all afternoon. I didn't eat anything until the sit-down dinner...

I've been fortunate, I didn't get sick once this holiday season. I usually do around the start of the Flu season though.

I've had a cold since Dec 8th. I went to the doctor and was given an antibiotic. I had to take the antibiotic for 10 days.

5 days later I felt good. On the 9th day of taking the antibiotic, I got sick again.

I cant shake this cold and the only thing that works is PSE. So if I keep buying Behind the Counter Sudafed.. I'll be on the national watchlist of being a meth addict.

I've always had a knack for getting sick over the holidays. Some of the highlights:
When I was in third grade I came down with the flu on New Year's Day (I think they called that strain the Shanghai flu. Swanky!) which got me an extra two weeks off school.
In middle school it was a 24-hour stomach bug that I caught from my best friend, also on New Year's Day, which ended a nine year no-puking streak in a glorious fountain of half-digested Chinese food.
High school saw another case of the flu around Thanksgiving and a Christmas cold caught while babysitting a snotty toddler who liked to bite.
I take two forms of public transportation every day to my job in doctor's office, so getting sick this season was pretty much inevitable. I'm just glad my cold tapered off to a light cough by Christmas day.

Had a nasty bout of tonsillitis (yeah, my mom refused to have mine cut out as a child and frankly it's too much a pain in the mouth to do it now). Finally getting over it.

When I was in law school I always got some sort of illness right after finals either from the wear-down from studying or from the skank (various) I hooked up with after finals. Regardless, 4 out of the past 5 years Christmas has been accompanied by antibiotics.

You know what the worst thing about winter colds are? Fucking sinus/inner ear infections. I have had an on-again/off-again one for almost two years now and it still hurts like a bitch.
