Grindhouse Six-Disc Set

If you want to go to Asia, to be exact.

HOLY SMOKES.

Meh. The first four discs are essentially the single-movie releases we got here. If the supposedly forthcoming Grindhouse Region 1 release includes the material from discs 5 and 6 I'll be happy enough.

Give it to me in HD, Weinstein. Don't be an asshole.

You do not tell Weinstein not to be an asshole. Would you tell the sun not to shine? The birds not to fly?

You're right, how selfish of me.

Seriously, though. HD.

Yeah, just give me disc 5 of that set and I'd be happy. And in HD.

It says it's the 191 minute theatrical cut, so I'm assuming it's the whole deal, from beginning to end, including trailers.

I guess they really, really, really, really want to eventually show a microscopic profit on this.

Yep, the first 4 discs are indeed the exact same Unrated and Uncut editions we got here.

I picked up Death Proof in a Christmas gift trade the other day and watched the special features yesterday. I enjoy Quentin Tarantino's movies, but someone seriously needs to give him some ritalin during interviews as he just rambles.

But does the Asian release have "Hobo With a Shotgun"? That's the real question.

He's right, that's as if you're asking if the Pope is catholic.

Just put my order in last week...sometimes it's good to live in Japan

This box is absolutely beautiful looking, from packaging to discs.

More here -- the rumors of a June region 1 release better damn well come true.

I've only seen Planet Terror, but I might have to throw down for this set. Some of my favourite DVDs come from Japan and Hong Kong (my copy of the Promise was a special edition which came with two other legitimately good movies)

I'd be interested in buying Disc 5, but I don't think I'll be shelling out $120 for it.
Hasn't all the other material in this six disc set been released in the US?

March 31st Starz will be showing the entire theatrical version of Grindhouse.

Xploitedcinema.com has got it, but it aint cheap.

Any news of a US release for this yet?
