I've Been Original Scored!

Awesome news, a few days ago I finally got my hands on the original score for my feature "The Supermarket," composed and performed by a classical music student group in Boston with a whole chamber orchestra performing! String section, woodwind section, brass section, piano, guitar, percussion, the woiks! It's been such a rush finally getting to hear the music in conjunction with the movie after months of organizing this step, and so I figured I'd throw a few tracks online for the film score aficionado Chewers to pick over.

Here's the tracks that were done with the orchestra:
-Theme
-Ellington, Connecticut
-Mount Soapstone
-Sons And Daughters Of Farms And Fields
-Too Slow, Too Far Behind
-You Don't Think We're Going To Win This

No better way to start the new year than with a brand fuckin' new original score!

Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention, if you want a serious 80s cheese injection check out "Produce Fight Scene" for a Rambo/Hard Boiled cross-concoction of film score synth craziness, the Ramboness especially around 0:40.

Huzzah!

When can we expect the radio friendly disco remix of the main theme from Meco Monardo?

I was halfway into it, and I thought it was really cool... and then the "Produce Fight Scene"... aw, man, what if John Carpenter worked for Golan-Globus???? I guess it would sound like that. Fucking sweet.

That is awesome. I've found its the hardest thing to get done well.

Congratulations! Were you working with Berklee's film scoring club in Boston? Can you give any details on the process? I only ask because a few weeks ago I submitted my latest short film to be scored. I haven't heard anything back yet (semester break and all) but hope to soon. Thanks!

Thanks guys! As for Berklee, I've worked with them plenty and they're talented people to be sure, but this specific music (well the orchestral stuff) was done by the Boston Conservatory.

Congrats! That's exciting, exciting news. Your going on my jealous-of list. It's a big list, but I'll find room.

Great stuff, that main theme in particular really seemed tonaly perfect for the footage in the trailer you showed us a while back.
