Two fat fucks get charged extra for eating too much at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Quote:
HOUMA, La. - A 265-pound man says a restaurant overcharged him for his trips to the buffet, then banned him and a relative because of how much they consumed during their visits.

Ricky Labit, a 6-foot-3, disabled offshore worker, said he had been a regular at the Manchuria Restaurant, eating there as often as three times a week. But on his most recent visit, he said a waitress gave him and his wife's cousin, Michael Borrelli, a bill for $46.40, roughly double the buffet price for two adults.

"She says, 'Y'all fat, and y'all eat too much,' " Labit said.

Labit and Borrelli said they felt discriminated against because of their size.

"I was stunned, that somebody would say something like that. I ain't that fat, I only weigh 277," Borrelli said.

Accountant Thomas Campo, who spoke for the restaurant because the owner's English is limited, said the men were charged an extra $10 each on Dec. 21 because they made a habit of dining exclusively on the more expensive seafood dishes, including crab legs and frog legs.

"We have a lot of big people there," Campo said. "We don't discriminate."
Awesome.

No, no, no. Fuck that. This is America. "All you can eat" for $9.95 is all you can eat. I don't care how fat you are. Tiny and his cousin need to fucking sue.

What kind of fat person knows their exact weight down to the pound? I was about that size a few years back, and you couldn't have gotten me near a scale if you'd put a ham hock on that motherfucker.

Homer Simpson: All you can eat. Ha!

Lionel Hutz: Mr. Simpson, this is the most blatant case of fraudulent advertising since my suit against the film, ``The Never-Ending Story''.

Impressed:

I guess Labit and Borrelli were there longer than four owwa.

Yep, the restaurant should have exercised their right to refuse service, rather than overcharging.

Or put in weight-activated trap doors by the buffet. Weigh more than 250? Down you go!

To be quickly prepared for the next day's buffet by the cooks in the basement!

Look, I'm fat, and I've been way fatter, but I've never conquered the buffet. Usually it is I that am conquered. It's the stuffing, I always fall for the stuffing....

A few years ago I got booted from an all you can eat sushi place, but I think that had more to do with how incredibly drunk I was and less to do with the fact that I had been eating fancy fish for an hour and a half staight.

And for the record I was weighing in at around 180 at the time.

But I agree with Belethedheliel. They should have just kicked them out, not overcharged them.

Well.. that'd be about the right weight if he was about 7'5" tall. Or really muscular.

Seriously, though, aside from the fact that this is about how much they ate (not necessarily how much they weighed, since I'd guess a skinny bulemic might eat more than they do and rile up buffet owners), health is less about weight and more about body fat percentage ('normal' for men is 15-18%, for women is 22-25%). I'm guessing this guy was more than 18% body fat.

Maybe they could have worked out some kind of sideshow attraction deal?

I went to an all you can eat Chinese buffet years ago with my friend John, who's a big guy like these fellas. As we were walking out, a REALLY fat guy, who muat have weighed 400 lbs or more, was rolling in. John, of all people, looks over at me and whispers: "They must dread that!" I could've killed him, because I was looking right at the fat guy at that moment, and it was incredibly hard not to laugh.

It's in the name, man! In the name!

I'm one of those people who loves abusing Asian buffets with crab legs.

Sure, they're cold, filled with exotic parasites, and so undercooked they drip out like snot - but by god, I get my 14 dollars worth.

As much as I wanted to come in here and engage in fat-guy humor, I gotta take their side on this one. All you can fucking eat! It's there on the sign! No asterisks, no nothing. If you got a problem, ask them to leave, don't be a wuss and overcharge them, because either way, they're going to eat you.

Beautiful. I think that sums up a lot of the weight-issues you guys have South of the old border, unless this guy is an ex-Mr Universe or something. Nearly 300 pounds is not that fat? Then please, what the hell is?

Not to say that 277 is a "fat" weight for everyone, but if this guy eats all-you-can-eat buffet 3 days a week, I'm guessing he isn't exactly a pillar of good health.

I knew you lifted weights but had no idea from the look of you that you effectively weigh 100 lbs heavier than me. DAMN!

"Ideal" body weight for that height is in the 180s, normally under 200. My two tall and super-fit male friends, who are not body builders but in mixed martial arts, Crossfit, military etc are in the 200-210 ballpark at 6'5".

Again, body fat percentage is the better gage, since a fit athlete can weigh more. To give you an idea, though, how much muscle it would take to be at that weight, Arnold Schwarzenegger competed at 260 pounds (he's 6'2" and his non-competition weight is 235 lbs). A really heavy stocky body type might give you a reasonably fit weight in that ballpark if he was also quite muscular (see professional rugby player Os du Randt, who is 6'3" and 275 pounds, but has a bit of a gut).

ETA: Also, muscle burns more calories than fat, so if the guys were truly very muscular and fit, they'd likely actually eat MORE than if they were fat guys. So either way, they were probably eating a lot!
