After watching The Lookout, which was decent, if I was making a film, I'd have to find a spot for Joseph Gordon-Leavitt. So I was thinking of my dream casting list. I'd send out for these peeps to be in my movie (alive actors):

Leavitt
Ray Winstone
Cate Blanchett
Clive Owen
Saul Rubinek (can't make a movie without him)
David Thewlis (thinking career-revival)
Michael Parks
Owen Kline (if I needed a kid)

I'll second the Hoffman, Owen, Rockwell, Harris, and Winstone mentions.

Those are all actors who I will watch anything they do, even crap.

If I ever were to make a movie, I'd definitely go Southland Tales and grab everyone I can think of that I enjoyed in some capacity, with the following being the ones I will watch in just about anything:

Christopher Lambert

Gene Hackman
Samuel L Jackson
Ed Harris
Jack Nicholson
David Morse
Alec Baldwin
Gerard Butler
Bob Hoskins

All in a movie that requires them to yell a lot (especially the top of my list)

Sprinkle in Alan Arkin and Bill Murray for a few scenes of deadpan delivery

Top off with Paul Giamatti for some bug-eyed reactions and cynicism

I'm telling you, this is TV casting, but I think putting Kyle Chandler and Jeffrey Dean Morgan into some kind of buddy picture would be comedy gold.
