Help find rare Beethoven Moonlight Sonata!

I'm currently in a melancholic mood and my playlist is full of old classic stuff like Gorecki's Symphony of Sorrows, Philipp Glass, even Beethoven - the type that resonates deeply and let's the tears well up.
When Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 (Moonlight Sonata) came up I remembered that I once heard a version with a great female chorus. I dunno if it was Piano or a whole orchestra though.
I've been searching Google for hours now and it seems there is not one version of the Moonlight Sonata with vocals/choir.

Anyone know a version or a good resource site?

thx for the link. But still no version with female/male chorus or vocals.
I think I grow tired of it again before I find it.

you have to play the piano in the room behind the dining room.

Beethoven never wrote a choral version of the moonlight. The closest thing to what you are describing is the Choral Fantasy in C minor, which has a slow, mournful piano introduction, later joined by chorus and orchestra.

My favorite version has Sviatoslav Richter on piano with a Russian chorus, singing in Russian. See tracks 15-17 on this disc (which also contains a mind-blowing appassionata)...

I can't think of any bastardization of the moonlight that fits your description. However, could you possibly be mis-remembering Charles Gounod's Ave Maria, an excellent vocal bastardization of the opening prelude from Bach's Well tempered Clavier? If you aren't familiar with it, Gounod simply added a melody on top of Bach's repeated arpeggios (similar in texture to the moonlight). There are a million different arrangements of the piece, and some include chorus and female soloist (or cello, or pan-flute, or moog sythesizer). Here's a few from Amazon:

Hope that helps
