Who caught this during its run? It only played a couple of weeks, I believe, and I completely missed on checking it out.

I saw it at a film festival at the beginning of the summer. Very much in the vein of modern French horror, in that it's got a tremendous sense of style, bucketloads of suspense, and an ass-stupid ending.

It plays like a calling card for the directors, i.e. "we may be French but we know how to make a generically borderless formula piece, so please hire us, Hollywood."

Entertaining for what it is, I suppose, but devoid of real interest beyond that.

But the eyeball abuse was kind of fun...wasn't it? And the tunnels? Ok, maybe not.
