So it takes 7.2 seconds to fire off every single band, and another 47 minutes to reload the sucker?

Sign me up!

I wish they could invent a rubber-band sniper rifle. Develop some kind of new rubber-band that can travel long distance at high speed without losing trajectory.. I would absolutely buy the hell out of one of those, and wage a war of terror on my neighborhood from out the bedroom window.

I think it would have been hilarious if one of the kids in Battle Royale had been issued this weapon.

Scene: He watches as the other kids find frying pans, feather dusters, and other useless crap in their sacks, and then he pulls out this sucker.

"Wow!" says everybody. "That's cool!"

And he gets a wicked grin.

Fifteen minutes later, cut to him as he frantically stretches several dozen rubber bands onto the firing pins while some maniac runs at him with a hatchet.
