The Legend of Corey Worthington

16-year-old's parents go away for a weekend, 16-year-old holds a party. Hundreds of people show up, police show up, wackiness ensues. But here's where it gets interesting: he's interviewed on national (Australian, that is) news, and the results are hilarious:

So many golden quotes, my favorite is probably
--"I suggest you take a good, hard look at yourself."
--"I have, everyone has: they love it."

Then here's the follow-up:

The kid sucks, but what is the deal with the reporter? Way to get outwitted by a kid.

That's what made it interesting for me. I would hate that kid in real life, but I loved this interview. Why? Because the reporter was weirdly awful to him, and he rose to the challenge and put on a great Spicoli-esque performance.

I posted this on Facebook an hour ago. The fact that this has gotten international attention (and two Chewer posts) is AWESOME.

I keep asking myself two things about this kid:

1. Is that kid wearing a wig or is his hair really that yellow?

2. How did sort of thing not happen 20 years ago?

I'm sure it did, but youtube wasn't around for those godless heathens in their dark age.

Wow. That was awesome.

Is Australia bored?

Wow, was this on the actual news or some gossip show?

It takes a special effort to make me root for a douchebag teenager. Way to go reporter lady.

I call bullshit on this, why back in the 90s, Bud and Kelly Bundy threw a party so massive that the national guard had to be called to lock Chicago down. It's time for America to re-assert its ability to throw out of control house parties.

No, no, it's 2008's "Don't tase me bro!"

Anyways, the Aussie police are making him foot the bill for them having to call in a helicopter, and lots of police officers to break up the party. PLUS one of the party goers is being charged with producing child pornography! Sounds like quite a party!

As much as I think he's a douche the news girl was pushing him and being quite a dick to him. I understand how bad the party got and the situation it caused but she was being a cunt. Now if only U.S. news reporters could have that kind of attitude with the Bush Administration...

This kid has been in the news for the last week, and when I say in the news I don't mean like 10 minutes in, I'm talking the headlining story every night.

It's like the old Kentucky Fried Movie joke:
"Moscow in flames, missiles headed towards New York but first Corey..."

It was only 500 people what the deal, back in the 80s we had bigger parties then that in high school. then again the biggest police raid party at someone house I can remember was only 300 people. The really big parties were alway on public land out in the middle of no were.
