I have a few friends who've used Without a Box in the past. Thought this might be of some interest.

Without a Box is great. IMDb, not so much. Although I've never used their indie services. I do know that they wouldn't accept my film into their database, despite several of the actors having IMDb pages. We'll see.

IMDb is weird like that. I have friends who've made $500 short films with no distribution get on the database and friends who've made $6000+ festival-winning features get denied. I'm sure there's a system in place, but I haven't the slightest idea of how it works (anyone?)

Without a Box is pretty neat so it's worth getting somewhat excited about. I'm hearing talk of being able to screen some of the smaller films in their entirety in order to increase your chances of getting picked up by a distributor or something, but it was all heresay (you know those other message boards).

I LOVE WIthout-A-Box. I get at least 2 e-mails every week with updated festivals and upcoming deadlines. It makes it so much easier to find festivals and enter them.

imdB usually just says you have to be in a festival - and be able to prove it with the festivals website. I got my Stephen King movie on there, but that's the only one that has shown in festivals so far...
