I dig the new sex place.

I think it's just a few bugs. I got here via the link that Horrid posted on MySpace. I went into "The Reals" thread on Misc. Culture, and same thing - it shows everyone as banned - no avatars, no sigs. Then in this thread, old avatars, old quotes, and half the post counts we had. Plus, I can't get into the forums at all by the front page - I click on it, and it keeps looping me back to the front page, rather than the forums. I'm sure it'll all get worked out, but that's what I'm experiencing so far.

Thanks again, Nick and Eileen - it looks gorgeous in the main page, and we'll be patient with the forum bugs, promise.

This is just me attempting to insure that I still exist. I clicked in to the Chud Book Club thread only to discover that I'd apparently been banned. Shocking.

Hmmmm, also, Trash decided that she was tired of sitting on the shelf and kicked Huey to the curb. Poor Huey, when will he get the respect he so rightfully deserves?

Also, roughly 200 of my brilliant and insightful posts have fallen off the grid.

Well on the one hand the boards are back, on the other hand all my DVD reviews have disappeared. Quite vexing.

My DVD reviews are all there, but it looks like they've all been written by Jeremy Slater. For a moment, I considered the possibility that I spent the last half year in an alternate dimension.

Maybe it would be best if I just legally changed my name to Jeremy Slater.

I can only assume thats when the board was last backed up or something by the peeps changing everything over? I don';t know. I'm sure within the next week everything will be sorted out.

Hate that I had to use the back-door to get in (clicking on Recent Thread links rather than the giant FORUM link on the site header), but it's good to see the forums back.

I became disorientated with the new CHUD and thought that we had to reregister or something to see the message boards and now I have a community profile that says I'm 58. The main site does look nice though.

Old avatar (blown-up) and missing about a 1.000 posts on my post-count as well ("Find all posts by DARKMITE8" says 10/31 are my last posts). And my last couple months of PMs are gone as well.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, my last few posts in the CLOVERFIELD thread are MIA (but not all my posts in that thread are gone).

I uploaded my old avatar and got a "file upload failed," after which I was auto-redirected to the nambla site, which was followed by a disembodied hand reaching out of the monitor and punching me in the testes. It seems to be working now, though.

Just visited the television thread and most of the threads are missing, so I'll wait a couple days before I try to bring back my favorite "Psych" thread.

You don't realize what you've got til it's gone. Glad things are back, looking forward to the final product.

I wonder if things like rep, post count, avatar strech are things that are going to be fixed or if it's something we'll all have to eat.

I'm inclined to think the latter, I wouldn't expect some rubberband moment when everything is lovely (thanks rza). Not a big deal really, Avatar's can be reloaded with a minimum of fuss, post counts aren't that significant (unless you were close to passing 500 like me! *smacks forehead*), and I know there are some that would celebrate the death of rep (and I had just managed to build a decent one *double smack*)...

Really, at the end of the day, as long as the forums function enough to allow us to post at all - they serve their purpose. The only loss I really lament is that all my subscribed threads have vanished - that asses a little - but I can dig that back up too. As pretty as the main site is, I think it will all be worth it.

Testing with my current avatar and user title before the revamp. Now I have to find a new quote, or find the one I just had.

It appears the members list is a bit more inclusive now, though I may not be remembering correctly.

Huh... here's something interesting, and kind of cool. My sig line is a quote from Andrew Ellis. But now in my sig line, there's a little box with an arrow inside of it next to his name. If I click on that arrow, it takes me to that original post of his that I quoted him from. Pretty cool.

Not really...unless you were here last night, and saw what I saw, my 'theory' is easy to dismiss.

...just wish I'd taken screen-shots!
