I hope John McCain chooses the path of Hilary Clinton. I hope he becomes a strong advocate for Obama. He has a chance to die with dignity. Deep down, I want to believe he threw this election, or at least he didn't go as dirty as he could have.
Yes we did!

I'm so happy right now. My daughter heard me yelling and applauding and came and hugged me. It was a great moment in my life, let me tell ya.

There is no freakin' way I'm gonna sleep tonight.

Chris Mathews making some great points on MSNBC.

Voters without a college degree feel threatened by change and other social groups rising up or perceived to be.

Obama supporters having college degrees feel more confidence and hence were more open to change.

What do YOU think?
WOW - crowds are outside the White House cheering for Obama.

What an awesome "go fuck yourself" to W.

What a Fantastic Night

What's Vidal doing?
Guys, I don't know how you first-time voters feel, but as a guy that's been voting since Carter's time, I'm a wreck here. Thank you all.
He's on. It's time. JW Blue, goodbye. America, hello -- and thank you.
I propose a toast to our next President. May he inspire us to help him get our country out from this mess, and on a path to greatness.
Here he is!

It looks like the French Revolution out there!

I saw Barack last week in the freezing rain. He is the only politician I would risk hypothermia for.
That is my President! Holy. Fucking. Shit!

Right with you. The first time I voted for a President was when I voted for Carter's re-election, and watched him lose to Reagan. I've never felt better about my vote than I do right now.
Love that he included "gay" there.
My first election. I'm numb with joy.
I guess we should have chilled the fuck out. He did have this.

I'd toast the same to McCain.

There were boos, but the cheers drowned them out pretty handily.

It's a lot easier to be magnanimous in victory.

Well there was no reason to boo since McCain lost.

Either way, great job America! It's truly great to witness such a historic event.

New puppy! It has to be a black lab!
I've never been so proud to be American.
All right! A Democrat in The White House! Hellloooo welfare!

I really wish my hardcore liberal, Detroit, blue-collar, pro-union parents were alive to see this.

Yes we can!
Live Up To This Fucking Speech, Obama.
"Two wars... a planet in peril..."

Oh my God. Barack Obama is Superman.

ETA:

"I may not have your vote today, but I hear your voices. I need your help. And I will be your President, too."

Awesome.
This guy is my President.
I'll be honest, I'm a little broken up right now. Talk amongst yourselves...
This speech, holy fucking hell. Holy hell.
This is really good.
Allright, this speech is incredible. I'm a little teary eyed.
Yes, we did. We will. We can because America is still the last best hope for humanity. History is rolling, right over the nightmare of the last eight years. Time to wake up, time to get to work. Now the hard part.

'O, say can you see, by the dawns early light . . . '
Jesus Christ that was utterly fucking incredible.
That was all-time. Wow.
Well, that was a little bit awesome.
Holy crap. When's the last time we saw an acceptance speech the night of?
I've gotten so used to an inarticulate fucktard President. Now I've got one I'm actually proud to hear speak.

In a strange, strange, STRANGE way, I'm almost (ALMOST) grateful for those years as Bush being president. They just make me appreciate this so much more.

What theme music is this?
Damn...

Wow.

(Okay black people, we whites are now officially off the hook for slavery.)
Obama must be feeling his oats if he's letting Biden open his mush.

Non-edit - I was going to post this, but then Biden didn't talk. Barack is smart.

Is there any way he can be president and also play Captain America? Because I can't see anybody else doing the role justice now.
Perfect. And an absolute pleasure ringing this in with you fine folks.
